Linfield fans,
1.   Our scheduling the last 2 years leaves a lot to be desired.
2.   Now we find out how much LC has improved since the Redlands game.   Will be a tough game.    If the Cats are good as I think, we can win.

Defense could be the difference.    I know Whitworth's defense will be as tough as Redlands.

I love the Pine Bowl, one of my very favorite settings.     But, alas, have a conflict and can't get there this year.   Will have to watch it on the internet.    (always a challenge in Div 3).

GO CATS! GO!

George--you haven't been paying enough attention to Whitworth--I think their defense is nothing close to as good as Redlands--almost everybody puts up points on the RATS---Their offense is what has won games for them--so the real question is, "Can the Cat Defense limit the RATs from scoring too much?"
Go Cats!

I have good vibes..... not sure if that results in a win but I'm hoping so...LOL!  ;D

MonroviaCat, you are right.   Over many years, Whitworth has had good defenses.    But, down this year.    We should be able to put 21+ points on them.    Chapman scored 37 on them.

George Fox held WW offense to 19 points.    That is what we need to do---keep them under 21.     So your ending question is spot on.

Is there a video clip of Colton Smith's acrobatic 1 handed catch in the end zone??? ..... that was spectacular!

But on a related note, I overlapped with Frosty's grandson for a few years at PLU. There was a little bit of grumbling around the edges entering his soph year that he was going to start whether he was the best option or not. But he was darn good and we could all tell he was the best option, so it was kind of moot (especially into his jr and sr years).

Chad Johnson was his name, right?  He was definitely a stud for the Lutes!

Yeah, Johnson was a baller. No nepotism involved in putting him under center.

Going to go back and modify my original post and then gaslight you all into thinking you misread me.

The Linfield O-line should have been the line of the week several times.... Jeez 4 freshman and 1 sophomore... WOW We get ripped off on the West Coast.....

Pat Coleman

Waah. Puget Sound and Chapman don't think so. And there was a NWC offensive line in the mix, but it was Pacific's.

It's because no one cares about west coast teams, Blue. Especially Linfield.  So you will keep getting slighted in terms of players of the week, All Region, All American, Playoff Seedings, praise from posters.  In general, you will get credit for nothing.

OK, so I'm guessing Blue doesn't read italics.  So for the rest of you, I made all that up for his benefit. He obviously enjoys being the victim and I'm pretty sure the chip on his shoulder has literally grafted into his skin.  Please don't tell him I didn't mean it.

Wildcat'64

Appropriate respect and recognition will come if the Cats keep winning BIG like them have for the past 5 weeks....just put the numbers up on the scoreboard and eventually it will turn heads and the respect will follow!
LEAVE NO DOUBT
