Interesting CA has some of the most stringent Covid regulations in the world, and we are the hot bed of America, per capita etc, slowest to recover, unemployment higher than most...I really do not understand how Newsome great plan failed, his is such a great leader. Fast forward, no SCIAC ball this spring...hum wonder if we should have done anything different.

We're still doing the politics thing on this, though?

Pat in two of the most liberal states the country...and two cities I would never dream of going to Portland or Seattle (or spend a dime in) ...they are playing football...its is really ironic...and not political.

Nonetheless, we gave politics talk a long trial run on the boards and shut it down -- I am sure you can get your point across without it being a political post. Please let's do this?

My first thought after having not checked this thread for a couple weeks.
You could not have made the point any clearer.

So it looks like the NWC Washington schools are playing 4 games while the Oregon schools (Linfield/Fox/Pac) will only have exhibitions/scrimmages this spring.

Stand corrected....Fox/Pacific are going to do a home and home and March.  Linfield ops to hold exhibitions/scrimmages in spring.

Makes sense for Linfield. They are still licking their wounds from their 3rd place finish in the SCIAC.

And!You get to drool over that fact for another year while not lifting a Grey finger

This saves us from having to figure out if the Streak would be on the line in a two-game season.

Here's hoping there will be a real Div3 football season in the 2021 Fall.  In the meantime I will follow the Lady Cat softball team this Spring.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Congrats to PS and former UR coach/player Jeff Thomas. I thought PS looked pretty good, defense actually played hard and offense moved the ball. PLU how the mighty have fallen. The fronts for PLU are a shell of what they used to be.
Watched parts of all games on Saturday, PS was in the upper half of being ready to play, credit to the coaching.

PLU wanted to move away from the Westering legacy, hired outside the PLU family, and now look like nothing of what once was a proud and successful football program.  If the PLU AD's goal was for UPS to dominate the Tacoma Rivalry, then missional accomplished.

Head Coaches matter...just look how far Willamette has fallen since Speckman left and now PLU.

BTW...PLU's uniform look is abysmal.
