Andy Jamison - Walla Walla Wildcat

On 3rd and less than 5, why not have the D line move back 1/2 - 1 yard off the LOS especially if the player is one that is prone to jumping offsides... we have at least 1 if not 2 guys that are always jumping offsides... the one guy is a good enough player to make up that space and he can't seem to hold himself accountable to moving on the snap... I'd rather have him be slightly less effective on  his rush than have him give up a crucial first down because he jumps... he knows he jumps, the DC knows he jumps, pretty much everyone knows he jumps off sides and it is bound to have a significant consequence at a critical juncture in a game... all can be avoided by having him back up (at this point he isn't not going to jump)

This is silly.  If you're talking about Swanson, the guy has 1 single instance of getting called for defensive offsides in playing close to 400 defensive snaps this season.  I don't get why you want to take a guy, who could very well be a 1st team All-American, and move him further off the LOS.

The Linfield defensive line has 3 total defensive offsides penalties on the year and 2 of those came in mop up time.  I think they're doing just fine on this front.

LF please take Walla's advice if we play you guys in the playoffs and set your D line a half yard back off the line.

Assuming Linfield wins games 8 and 9, I sure hope they don't send Redlands or any Texas team here.    I would love to see a team we have never played.   Like Wheaton, Delaware Valley, Union or Bethel.     Of course, that won't happen.

My bet is Redlands or Hardin-Simmons.

Nice Job again...

What's up with the crowd, or lack of it...great team etc this year, the place is usually more full. Do you guys have some LA restrictions in place to save you all ?

Currently you must be fully vaccinated, and provide proof, to attend any Linfield sporting event.

Another top quality video.  Awesome work WC11 !

Back in my days we would watch a VHS cutup highlight of the game (standard AC/DC as the music of course) on Monday before practice.  Out of curiosity does this get shown to the players as a team and when?

They're so spoiled!

There was something special about sitting in the "yoga room." Can't remember the name of the room but it was across from the weight room and they had a yoga class there just before we always went in on Monday before we headed out for practice.  Coach Loce would start with a quick review of the previous Saturday's game and getting our mind set right for the team to come.  Then it'd end with watching Vaughan's highlight reel on the projector and to see who made it in the cut.  A lot of team ooos and awws and occasional laughs.  I always looked forward to those Mondays.  Every time I watch your highlight reels I imagine myself iback n that room watching with my teammates.

Just a heads up for any Linfield fans making the trip to Salem this weekend: these same rules are in effect at McCulloch Stadium.  The concessions stand is closed as well.  But hey, at least the tickets are free.
