Any of you Linfield fans hear from Coco and/or Mrs. Coco lately? I used to chat with them often but have not heard from them for quite a while.

I see him and Nancy at all the home games.... I sit about 5 rows up from him on the aisle. Talked him today about the SJU squeaker.

The Lutes did better then I expected this year. Now I start my annual rooting for Linfield. Go Wildcats.

They kept getting better and better as the year went on.

If they could have just finished games they'd have had at least a couple more wins....
Go Cats!

Well...all I gotta say is that this Linfield team deserved a shot at hosting multiple home games but it is what it is. Time to get ready for an improved Redlands team.

Congrats Linfield and good luck in the first round.  Hopefully we both play well and can have a round two match-up that warms the hearts of us old farts.

Yeah--Geography strikes again.  Who knows, maybe Lake Forest will upset the Johnnies and give the CATS' a shot at a second home game (if we can double up on Redlands).

Have our work cut out but hope to be making the trip out over Thanksgiving.

Yeah, good luck to me getting away from the wife to fly to Minnesota on Thanksgiving weekend.

Like so many times in the past, Linfield has a bad hand dealt to them by the NCAA.   If they can beat Redlands, they go east to meet the #5 team.    If they can beat them, they go to Texas to meet the #2 team.   Three Top 7 teams in the first 3 rounds.    What a joke!

#1 ranked team North Central meets no Top Ten teams in the first 3 rounds.

And I can not believe that Hardin-Simmons did not get in.    They lost by one TD to the #2 team.     And they were ranked #10 in the country.

If your college is not in the upper Midwest or East, they don't count at all.  These playoffs are totally biased.

Just 3 balls out away games, George.

OK.  I got the rant out of me.    For 10+ years, the NCAA does no favors for Linfield.

Despite the drawing, I feel very good about this LF team.    I think we have a good shot to beat Redlands, and yes, St. John's and Mary Hardin-Baylor.    Won't be easy, though.

Assuming chalk holds, SJU v. Linfield should be a great matchup. Johnnies have two very good RB's, and a mobile QB, with a very physical Oline. From what I've read, Linfield is very good on the Dline ... the kind of playoff matchups we all dream of seeing, even if it's a round or two earlier than we might like. Plenty of football to prepare for and play before then anyway.

SJU has really stepped up the pregame tailgating.  No more hiding from rent-a-cops!  Hope a rematch happens.

A tradition unrivaled...
