I have no problem with playing on the road vs SJU. What doesn't make sense to me is the road to the Stagg Bowl for Linfield. If you look at the other brackets.... Linfield's journey is much tougher having potential away games against SJU, UMHB, WhiteWater, Central or Wheaton. Someone tell me what other team has a more difficult and almost insane journey. That is what I think is total BS.

It was 2002

Yes.  2002 was at the Catdome.  2003 was at Clemens.

What's there to give up on... the facts? Tell me the other team or teams even the #1 seeds that have a more difficult road. You aren't that blind to the facts. LOL! ::)  If Linfield were to actually win the Stagg Bowl.... they would be considered the best ever team in DIII history.

Um.....  if they win they will probably play all home games until the final. Not sure if your mind has thought things out. But I get your point. LOL  8-)

Yeah--I only had one point---St. John's has to beat the 'Cats.  If they do, they probably get the CRU (at home but still..), and then any one of those three from down the bracket (WW, Central, Wheaton).
Go Cats!

D O.C.

Great win!  Way to go Linfield!

I was incredibly impressed by the sportsmanship on display all game long by both teams!  Helping the other team up, patting them on the butt, simply demonstrating Class all game long.

Love to get the W over St. John's as I can remember the 2002 loss at home when we had 5 turnovers and they had Blake Elliott and we still only lost by 7.  Then the next year when they went on to win the title we played them close at their place when again they had Blake Elliott (dude was a stud!).

I was really impressed with our D line and #93 in particular.  He sniffed out a screen and chased it down which showed how on top of the game he was today.  Our secondary had the two huge miscues which they simply have to tighten up... those pretty much balanced out the two Johnnie punt related mistakes.

Great job by our kicker to be mentally tough and come out and make the second field goal.  I sure would have liked to have gotten him a bunch more FG opportunities during the regular season to build up his confidence.

On to UMHB!  We have won at their place before and can do again.  Let's Go Cats!
