A win.   Tough, tough game.   Some strange play calling made the offense spotty.   Defense has lots of issues against a quality team.   Playing in the deep south in early Sept--- hard because of humidity.

But, the challenge was the Huntingdon Hawks were a very good team.

Two weeks to improve the Linfield team.

We had a pretty good 10 minute rain shower at 4 o'clock. Then with the sun coming back out it worked perfectly to make the whole place into a giant sauna by the 6 o'clock kickoff.  ;)

Not an impressive start for the Northwest conference.  Only Lewis and Clark, Linfield and George Fox won.
The others lost and the scores were not close.

Sure wish our conference was strong like it was 20+ years ago.

I have never sweat so much in my life and I was just filming the game. I could ring out my shirt at the end of pregame.  That was a clean, hard fought battle.  I know it's not currently in the cards but hope we can return the favor and host Huntingdon one season down the road

Thought the Cats played well for an opener against a tough opponent....the humidity had to be a killer for both teams but especially those that don't experience those  playing conditions during a regular season.  Think I'd rather play in snow and ice rather than 100 degree humidity.  Looks like the Cats are on their way to another good season if injuries don't slow them down.

Is the Huntingdon game archived anywhere,?

In my mind.... but there is no sound other than the guy yelling at the ref. And the pep band.

Oh for those halcyon days of the early 80's.....

I missed the game but the stats for my Lutes don't look to good, even against a top 15 team, 0-12 on third down, 38 yards rushing.......
