Well Fox played like absolute garbage and deserved to lose. Not the first time we've pooped the bed against PLU. Ugh
I was impressed by PLU's Defense but I think Fox wins 9 of 10 in this match up.

Good thing we only play once  :)

Andy Jamison - Walla Walla Wildcat

Somehow Wildcat 11 is now just a "starter" for D3Boards posting... thought that he was an All American?  :)

The Pine Bowl has been a tough place to play for Linfield and this weekend will be no different.

Never have I seen 4 punt returns for touchdowns in a game... or 3 in a row... granted, the 4th got called back but still...

I'd like to see us kick field goals instead of going for it on 4th down as that gives our FG kicker live reps which can't hurt when there is a game when points are critical. We were going to beat UPS by a whole bunch so why not gain some experience for your field goal unit?

Still don't understand why our 2nd team WRs aren't getting consistent reps as it isn't like there is much of a drop off.  I'd like to see Stoneking and Theis out there given what they've shown on punt returns... especially in games against UPS, Willamette, L&C... where we know we are going to win...

Go Cats!

Andy,

I deactivated my account but came crawling back.  ;D

The Pine Bowl is a very hard place to win so the 'Cats have their work cut out for them.  The Rats starting QB, Blair, is a very very accurate QB so our secondary is going to get their stiffest test since the opener.  Our d-line has to have a big day.

I see your point about mixing in more WR but our QB is just in his 3rd game starting and still developing chemistry with the front line starters.  The more time they can spend on the field getting live reps the better off the offense will be as we go in the season.  Just my view on that aspect.

Our FG/PAT unit does need work, missed PAT/FG's and poor snap handling didn't make me feel warm and fuzzy about when we'll need them in a tight game and that could be this weekend.  We'll find out soon enough!

Big weekend.  Go 'Cats!

Wildcat 11, don't leave us.    Your insight is always good.

Thanks guys.  I'm not leaving again but life has just become so busy with my kid getting older, and with work, so something had to give (the blog).

Still loving doing the videos but just can't take the time puke out my thoughts on the Linfield/NWC on a weekly basis anymore...

Almost always a battle...but yesterday we really battled ourselves.  That game could/should have easily been more like 49-14

Not the first time we could have said that about a game at Whitworth. Yesterday was won in the first 9 minutes of the game. The defense turning the Rats away after the kick and punt fumble was huge

Yup--and holding them to FG after the 2 early penalties was pretty tight too.  Defense looked good--especially in the first half.  I thought Eaton came out on fire but came back down to earth a bit in the 2nd half.  Nice team win.
Go Cats!

The Cats seem to be getting better each week....there is a lot of talent on this team and has really great potential to be playing in December.
