My knees on the other hand... :(

Oh man, tell me about it. :'(  We had a major cold front swing through here last week, and my left knee, it particular, was throbbing.  Old Man Duff!

Probably had some 12" MTX woofers in the back playing some Nate Dogg and Warren G!

Excited to see a brand new opponent in Pomona-Pitzer.  Given the battles that we have had with the SCIAC over the past few seasons, I'm expecting a tough game.  Aside from the blowout of Redlands at the start of 2021, the SCIAC teams have played us tough.  It will be a great test and everyone needs to be laser focused on this Saturday.

As for the seedings, the reality of it is that we need to NWC to step up and I just don't see that happening at Lewis & Clark, Willamette, and UPS.  We need to have Fox, Whitworth, PLU, and Pacific continue to get better and get some out of the West Coast wins against Top 25 programs.  Given what I have observed over the past several seasons, there are 3 schools who seem likely to drop football and or simply forfeit their games against Linfield in future seasons. We likely lost the #1 seed because of the strength of our conference.  Maybe if Fox hadn't lost to PLU and had been in the regional rankings that would have been enough.  Oh well... nothing we can do expect focus on Saturday's opponent.

We all need to be really thankful that we are fans of a school that supports football from the Board on down.  We have 3 prime examples in our conference of schools that simply do not care about football.

Funny moment: My daughter joined some friends in putting together a dance routine to this last spring. She had no idea how old the song was and was shocked that I knew all the words.

Ice Bear

Ice'll take some RUN-DMC, Whodini, Beastie Boys, and Pete Rock and CL Smooth for his 80's hip hop. Ice says of course there is no ****ing question about the 90's with Wu-Tang and NAS. Ice just saw them both at the Hollywood Bowl about a month ago.

As soon as she saw that Dad knew the words, she changed up the dance routine song, ASAP!

It takes two is still the best damn hoops warm up/lay up line song of all time.

Programs like Lewis & Clark never get a chance to experience this so make sure to smell the roses a little, fellas.

Well...maybe not never. In 1991, the Pios made the NAIA playoff field.

You and I were in High School in 1991....might as well be never at this point!  ;D

Hey! Class of 1991 here. That was like 10 years ago my brain and ego tells me.

Hey Andy.... check your PMs I fired you a question.....

All-NWC is out and just about everyone that played a snap gets some sort of all-conference honor.

https://nwcsports.com/news/2022/11/14/all-nwc-football-announced-gfus-johnson-and-erickson-linfields-rybar-and-smith-earn-top-honors.aspx

L&C put out a tweet right away about how NINE Pios received some all conference honors. Linfield rushed for over 450 yards, sacked their QB 7 times, and shut them down with a hammer but they nearly have 10 all-conference guys on that field this past weekend? They must have had the day off.

I'm not picking on L&C but the all-conference team should mean something. Like naming GFU's QB a first team athlete. What is that? He's either the first team QB or not.

All this does and muddy the waters for All-Region and All-American honors and this actually HURTS the conference in terms of perceived strength.

Coaches might as well just mothball all-conference at this point.

I was all happy zen but that all-NWC put me on one....

I mean just look at the PAC 12's 1st and 2nd team picks

https://pac-12.com/article/2022/07/24/media-selects-preseason-2022-pac-12-all-conference-football-team

They pick 44 total picks (1st/2nd team) and 8 specialist (1st/2nd team).  That's a major conference with TWELVE schools.

The NWC put 65 guys on the 1st and 2nd team with only 8 schools playing.
