Remember that big qb from Hampden- Sidney?

Ya he was a D1 guy that transferred .... And had a huge receiver that had speed.... Finally figured it out and started sacking him.

Their QB was a stud and their guys made plays all day.

We pretty much stopped his running attack which I had heard was advanced.... and he threw up some bombs that were magically caught by several of his very good receivers. I'd rate him in the top 5 I've seen from the SCIAC.

As of 5:48PM Central the NCAA as not released the home team announcement.
So nobody is hosting the unknown games as of yet.  Whatever d3football.com says
is not official.

It was official, though. That's why we posted it. The NCAA.com folks hadn't gotten the info on their website yet, but we had.

I'm just gonna go ahead and say it.
I'm worried about this Bethel game and our offense.  We have had slow starts this year and especially so with PP.  We can't have a slow start against Bethel or any other team in our bracket.  Our O needs to be dialed in and ready to go at kickoff, not the second quarter or 3rd quarter.  It will be too late with these teams.  Lets go O-line!  Create a line of scrimmage 3 yards deep get up and play football!
I don't know if it's because of the chatter on this board, or the excellent videographers for the LSN network that has shown me more than what we're accustomed to seeing, but I agree that it seems like some of our players have a bigger ego rather than a team first attitude.  Just wrong. Lets go!
I'm excited for this Saturday but equally anxious and nervous.
Leave it all on the field first quarter through 4th quarter.  Let's go Cats!

Linfield will need some of those positive personal fouls early in the game to get them going.

Pretty much like what I was watching Saturday. They earned the right to Peck.

I've watched parts of 3 Linfield games this year. Probably close to the equivalent of about a game and a half total (whole second half on Saturday). I've gotta say, the LSN production is very well done. The camera angles, cutting to good angles for the replay, but still getting back to the wide view for the next play, the field view closeups, etc. are all really smooth. No buffering that I've experienced. You could almost justify charging $5/10 to watch a game.  ;) ;D

Congrats on the first round win, LF fans again are very gracious to the SCIAC.."when we come up North for our November basting" . LF should run the ball more. OC sometimes forgets he has a new QB. Once he started running the ball, along with special teams ...game over for PP. Stick to that formula going forward.

On your broadcast, the feed used to be the worse in D3 West Coast, second was UR....but LF has vastly improved. Your announcers, the play by play guy...I had turn my volume way down (stop trying to be Gus Johnson)  and your color guy seems like a nice man to have a beer with, both he needs to do a little more homework. The best and I am bias is Mitch McClellan of UR. He has been UR guy for I think 29 years (sorry Mitch if off). He loves UR and wants them to win, but he does his homework on the other team, D3 football, etc...You walk away from one of his games knowing more about the UR, D3 and the other team...than anyone out there. He is highly respected in the IE...and does not over broadcast, its an easy listen.
Less than two more years of Gavin.

I recorded the broadcast since I was at the game....and have been watching it for a couple days when I can..... Joe the play by play guy is great (and hilarious) and Gary kind of offsets him and is much calmer. I think it's a great combo..... and the production is really nice and professional.

Excited to see how we stack up against Bethel. Sounds like we'll be seeing another elite QB in Roste .... and they also have a couple stud running backs we need to contain. The Bethel/Wheaton matchup was way too early in a bracket.... both are very fine teams.

WC11, the all-MIAC teams were announced today--we're ranting over there, too.

Duff,

I did my old man yelling at clouds routine in the MIAC page.

Ice is really looking forward to this as well and anticipates a great playoff football game between two great programs.

Ice was just informed by Mrs. Ice that the family will be taking a trip into NYC for the day on Saturday. Ice's counter to this is that he is planning to ****ing handcuff himself to the fireplace come Saturday morning in his underwear, slippers, and Bethel T-shirt with a piece of duck tape across his mouth (for effect) and refuse to go. If you don't here from Ice for awhile you know his plan went south...

I like your plan..... watch the game in front of the fire with a cup of coco.  8-)

Good plan Ice. Sorry if you don't make it.  8-)
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Ice, while I appreciate your enthusiasm, Bethel is a hot, steaming pile of garbage.  You should have pledged your furry allegiance to the true kings of the MIAC.
