Understood.
May you have a relaxed Thanksgiving holiday with your family.

Do you suppose Bethel had a chance to figure out how the StJ player got WIDE open behind our secondary last year - twice!
I suspect to see some long bombs on us right off on Saturday.
Barely can wait.

Seems like several teams figured that out this year DOC.
Go Cats!

But I haven't figured out how to watch the games on my computer so I couldn't tell.
I was at the Redlands game and didn't notice any dog wide  open. But then, I've developed macular degeneration and I have to see with a magnifying glass. Oh, wow is me.
'CATS!

Ice Bear

Ice Bear is thinking tomorrow will be a great matchup between the Royals and Wildcats. Ice hopes for an injury free game for both sides. Ice says get ready fellas this may be one of the greats!

So IF Linfield wins today, are there safe assumptions to make as to where they will play next week?
If Trinity wins, then we go to Trinity
If UMHB wins then we play at home

Are those safe assumptions to make, or is it really a wait until tomorrow to find out?
Obviously we have to win first and that is no given.  Cats really need to step up today!

those are the logical assumptions--however, certain Linfield posters will claim we go to Texas regardless of results today  ???

Why did Linfield lose today?

1.  Soft schedule.   Northwest Conference is weak.
2.  Bethel plays in a much tougher conference
3.  Bethel's defense was by far the best Linfield faced all year.  To be held to only 13 points, and none in the 2nd half, was impressive.
4.  Bethel played an excellent game.
5.  Linfield was over-rated.   Clearly not #4 in the country.   Top 20, yes.  Top 5, no.
6.  Too many penalties.
7.  Weak pass defense.

Despite that, they had an 11-1 year.   Very few teams can claim that.
Thank you for the enjoyable season, Wildcats.

Next year.

Ice Bear

Ice wants to send his congratulations to the Linfield Wildcats in what was yet another incredible season. Ice says maybe they were a bit overrated this season but overall, as a D3 football program, year in and year out, they are incredible. Ice aspires his beloved Dutchmen to reach the consistency and level of play that Linfield puts on the field year in and year out. Ice says also kiddos to some passionate and knowledgeable fans who Ice has also come to respect this season. Ice knows Linfield will be back, they always are.

Ice has a question: since he was in NYC today with his ****ing stub of a Polar Bear tale between his legs and missed the game, is a replay of the game available through the Linfield College website?

You're going to be even more crabby next year, George.

Honestly, maybe Linfield is two or three spots too high, but if Bethel had had Roste behind center all season, it would have entered the playoffs several spots higher than 13. The Royals are clicking right now, for sure.

Watching the Wash Huskies /WashSt Cougars..
The Wash St QB, Cameron Ward, played his high school ball at West Columbia HS, West Columbia, TX, just south of Houston.

I recommend a fun book to read on the origin and history of the Air Raid Offense, The Perfect Pass: American Genius and the Reinvention of Football by SC Gwynne.
