I'm starting to like this Linfield squad... they don't have any flashy players but they have workman like players at every position. I was impressed by the receivers and running backs... plus the QBs are above average. Linfield's defense is still the major player.

Cat's defense continues shine doing a nice job against the Pios only giving up 6 points.

It was good to see L&C give such a solid outing on offense...  that is the most competitive that they have been with us for many years... their offense figured out something after the first few possessions and were able to move the ball on our D to an extent that they haven't been able to do.  Our offense did well.. nice to see Slifka get some tough catches over the middle and then fight for extra yards... he was used in a different manner than our typical wideouts...

Related to the question someone posted about the lack of participants on this thread as compared to years past, as a long-time participant on this board, it seems to me that the lack of any year-in, year-out, in-conference competition has kept new posters from engaging and has resulted in guys who used to post quite often doing other things with their time... we don't have 3-4 posters from Whitworth, Pacific, Fox, PLU, etc. to keep things interesting. (speedybigboy from PLU, BearCat Press from Willamette, the Rat guy from Whitworth).

I'd also say that with Wildcat11's evolution away from being such a reliable source of in-depth coverage, people may have stopped paying as much attention.  We had it so good for all the years that he was so involved with posting and covering the program. Such great content each week for so long!

There is also somewhat of a sense of a ceiling being reached... we'll compete for the NWC crown each year, likely have a good chance of hosting a winnable Round 1 game with the possibility of a 2nd round game at home... then off to the D2 program of UMHB which simply has had athletes with no business at D3 year after year... Add in the excitement around the Ducks and Beavers and many guys likely aren't paying attention like they were in the past...

We might also have some newer posters not feel included after they post a few times with the possibility of getting replies to what they post from long-time Cat posters.

If you want more posters, don't discourage people.    We are not all experts.  Everyone is encouraged to post his/her thoughts and NOT be ridiculed.

Thanks Andy for the words, life/priorities changed but that's not a bad thing at all.

Cats have a lot of weapons and are starting to really incorporate them in the offense and they look great.  Obviously Willamette and L&C's defenses are bad but the 'Cats did what they should do against bad defenses...whatever the hell they want.  L&C's offense scored once but had those 3 drives where they made us work on defense and that's a step in the right direction.  Pios are on the come up.

The program is really healthy right now and I'm incredibly stoked about the young talent that came in this fall. Typically, I don't get excited about JV games but Linfield played one after the Willamette home game and I was hyped about the number of young bulls we have on the team and their playmaking ability.

I'm still not sure what our ceiling is on the 2023 team but they're coming around.  Fox's defense has always made our offense grind things out so looking forward to it this Saturday.

Whitworth should be a top 25 team, they're good.

I'd like to see some more vids from WildCat11 can you post the one with McNabb flipping?

Fair enough George--I know I've ridiculed you in the past (mainly for posting the same thing over and over again) but I was actually referencing the nonsense political arguments that pop up frequently, the nonsense references certain posters make that nobody (except the poster) understands, and the nonsense bluster certain posters make that have no basis in fact.  I think those things actually turn new posters away.
