Quote from: MonroviaCat on September 07, 2024, 12:27:52 PMI think the board lost a lot of mojo when it died and had to be resuscitated.  Also having to login just to view has caused me to be on here less (because it's not as convenient to check from my phone, other devices, etc.)
I don't have to log on.  I only use my laptop.
But I do like the old format much better.

You have to login initially.  On my main computer I'm logged on.  But on devices that I haven't logged onto I can't view the boards.

Decided to check in from Nebraska this afternoon after a few years. Anyone else here?

'Cats need to get a LOT better on offense if they're going to make a playoff run. 31 points, but 2 defensive touchdowns and the field goal was set up by a turnover. Defense looked good and was tested by a Denison quarterback who was an outstanding scrambler.

Agree 100%. Hopefully, it was just the first game issues.

Having two very capable quarterbacks is great but at some point you may need to make a decision as to who is your main guy and go with him. Going back and forth every few plays or possessions makes it difficult for the guy at that position to really get into a rhythm. And the run blocking looked to lack consistent quality - you're going to have to move the ball on the ground and on a lot of plays Saturday the running back got the ball with two or three white jerseys in his face.

But, as you said, hopefully first-game issues that having some film will help straighten out before a stern test at Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Not a fan of the QB rotation system. I have yet to see it work efficientlyanywhere. IMO.

Rushing for 2.2 yds. per carry will not win many games.

Yeah--running game was not great.  That being said, 'Cats were in the game and very well could have (maybe should have) won it which I certainly wasn't sure was going to be the case today.  Offense was more consistent today but Oshkosh wore us down in the 2nd half with the running game--tackling that RB was a serious problem for our D.

So Cat fans, what is going to happen, you guys going to shove the ball down our throats? I can not think of a time the last 15 years we have been bigger underdogs. Our offense weak, and I do not know the status of our QB.
I don't see any paths to victory.

After watching the the first two games of the season I would be thrilled if the 'Cats can shove the ball down the Dawgs throats.  Our running game has easily been the least impressive part of both games.  'Cats need to get that figured out if they want to make any sort of run this year.

I have never been more frustrated on offense, we have a few O linemen back and one of them is pretty good. Hope we can make our offense "Good" again.

I don't see a blow-out; will be happy with any Linfield win.

Neither team looks like a Top 10 team.  But, the season is still young.
