Kenneth I'm sure that the ol' Pointers will come to play, it'll just be a little different on the field turf.  It just plays so much faster than grass and it could be tough for your DB's to keep up, but hey you're not the only team that will lose to the CATS this year so don't worry.  Can't wait for the season to start, I keep getting updates from the fellas and everything seems to be going well down in Cat country.
64' are you still @ Kentwood???  IF so how are the ol' Conquerers looking?  WOU Fan any word if they have actually tried to convert VanLue to TE.  If so I don't see that kid making that transition very well, he has virtually no speed or lateral quickness unless he has improved greatly since his days at South.  The last time I saw him he looked bigger so I doubt it.  Someone's gotta play QB, but looks like the wolves have it tough playing Eastern Washington this season.  My little brother is a RB there and they open with San Jose St. so will probably be ready to beat the heck outta the Wolves for their home opener.  Why schedule a I-AA team for the wolves when they can't even beat DII/DIII teams, NAIA maybe???
Savage Storm is on the move in the Lone Star Conference!

Here's your answer on the I-AA scheduling: Money.

Since our administration refuses to go out and fund raise for the lowest-funded D2 school in America (no lie), we need to play EWU for some cash. We played them a few years ago and actually hung in there for awhile, I think got beat 30-10.

Same reason WWU has played Montana, CWU has played EWU, and RMAC teams have played Weber State.

Should we be NAIA? Yes.

But since our arrogant administration won't listen to its alums and fans, we're stuck playing D2 without any funding mechanism.

If this was the real business world, the powers that be at Western would've been fired years ago.

If they are left out of the NCC-Washington deal, the Wolves may not have any choice but to play everyone who's willing.

WOU,

Yeah, Marshall doesn't move around very well, but as far as the other rumors are concerned, well, that's not's  fair for "fans", to make judgement's on.  They probably have no clue about the kid.  From what I've heard, he's a stud and a great leader.

All I know is that he was an awsome highschool QB that threw for a ton of yards and TD's.  Oh, and he played for the South Medford Panthers, my former highschool team.

I don't really remember SOU having a really good QB for awhile.  The last guy that I remember was Chad Guthrie.  He was very talented and was a multi-dimensional qb that was really tough.

Correct Shane, I received my info off the SOU guys on the Oregonlive board ... not a good place for credible info. Those guys are nuts.

And I should be the last one to talk about QB problems, lord knows we have our share of shakey signal callers this year. I'm in the Van Lue camp.

Meanwhile, practice begins at Lewis & Clark!

Good thing I learned to turn off the karmatron on my screen.
If just the one bandit hits every message I put up no matter how chock full of pabum I make it I will register negative from here on out.

Oh yeah... I forgot about the S-burger.  I suppose I'm good for a couple of bucks towards that.  8)  But in no way am I supporting your scouting of the Lutes.

If you 'Cats want some inside information, D-Train is your guy anyway. The Lutes will be younger this year with a new QB and O-line. They'll run off the field holding hands a lot and will often help their opponents up off the turf. That report will be $5 for each Linfield poster. Please route your donation through wildcat11.

I may be even making a trip in for Linfield/plu
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

anyone know when the scrimmage might be? Watched some of the practice the other day but the scrimmage would be fun. 8)
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Thanks Downtown48, what do you think

I'm not all that familiar with the lay of the land out there in NWC country, but are any schools worth checking out located near Seattle? I'll be there for a couple of weeks in late Sept, early Oct & would like to try to catch a game....
