Lever Street

Are Lewis & Clarks' league games going to count as a forfeit?  Therefore, will the NWC teams each get a "W".

Or can L&C just back out of these games without suffering the "L".

I think L&C should go 0-5 in league this season with each NWC team getting a Win on their record.
You can't get to CatDome without seeing Lever Street.   Go Linfield!

d-train

I think Pat weighed in on this earlier saying that the NCAA calls for a 'no-contest'. These are cancelations, not forfeits. The other NWC teams will have one less game and no credit for a 'win'.

pdxpio

d-train, youre right on the "no contest" ruling by pat.

however, i really agree with lever street, lc should at least show up and forfeit the games, it really sucks to see everyone else take a hit for L&C's shortcomings.

woufan, glad you enjoyed the pics. I'm so looking forward to this Saturday. Only a little over 24 hours until I head for the airport!!! ;D

In regard to the WU/MHBU game there was a football oddity that you don't see very often.  4 players in the game rushed for over 100 yards. 2 for the Bearcats and 2 for the Crusaders.  I thought the MHBU radio crew mentioned that Quentin Brock and Cam Walton were the first two rushers to ever both reach 100 yards in a game vs. the Crusader defense in MHBU history.  Can any one verify this information.

This weekends game at the catdome should be a great one!  I'm very curious to see how the new UWSP receivers will do against our veteran DB's.  I think it will be much tougher for Borchart to run around like he did in last years game.  The Cat D-line is much improved from last years squad and think that they will do a much better job of keeping him in the pocket.  I think that will the be key for the Linfield "D."  He seemed to have more success against us last year when he was able to use his legs to buy time.  The real question is HOW IS ANYONE going to keep up with the Linfield offense.  Look for the big three (Casey, Haze, Keck) to really burn it up this week.  I also think that the O-line will have a better day opening holes for Mr. Kotler and Lasswell  I'm waiting for those guys to have a BIG day, maybe a game sealing 59-yard scamper like someone did in last years game!!!  Cats 42 Pointers 14
Catdome baby!
Savage Storm is on the move in the Lone Star Conference!

NWCprops, both team websites verify there were two 100 yard rushers for Willamette, but nothing is mentioned as to whether that's the first time against a UMHB defense. Might want to ask on the South ASC board. I checked out some of that game after the 'Cats had the WOU game well in hand. I would hope the Bearcats gained a lot of yards rushing,  they ran the ball on EVERY play that I watched. Like some others mentioned who watched their game against WOU, they would continue to run on countless 3rd and long situations against UMHB. Despite trailing badly the entire game, they would not throw the ball (QB only attempted 8 passes). Makes you seriously wonder just how bad their passing game must be this year. Either that, or Speck just wanted to keep getting more running plays in (their strength) so they could have it better perfected by the time conference games come.

catback4, that play sent Linfield fans into a frenzy, and a lot of Pointer fans to an early exit. Easily one of the biggest plays of the year and a catapult for the rest of the season!
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

LB:  Not ignoring the offense at all..it's pretty much a given that they score about 40.  Anything less would be feather in SP's hat and provide some hope for other teams.  As would the Pointers scoring about 30 on the Cats D.  I will be anxious to see the stats from this week since it will be the closest thing to a common opponent should the J's and Cats meet up later.  Johnnies defeat Eau Claire..Cats win vs SP.   That makes the EC vs SP game a little more interstesting.

Hmmm??  Just a thought ~ wouldn't it be interesting if the unbelievable happened and Lewis and Clark went 4-0

Right, and if that happens the pres. will change his mind and finish the seasom

What do you think "64 if we end up in the playoffs Vs. the Johnnies and KennethK comes out for the game how about if we show him some real Wildcat hospitality since he's been a such good sport about the tough time we have given him.

If I invite him to watch the game from my Sky Box for the first half and take him to the fabulous half time smorgasboard they serve us will you invite him to your Sky Box for the second half?

We'll show him such a great time and charm him so well that like a Lobster cooking in the pot, he slowly gets groggy and goes to sleep before he realizes he's cooked.  KK won't even realize that his Johnies have finally received their long over due Wildcat Comeupance?

I would hold off on putting the water on the boil.  Let"s see what happens Oct. 8 in Spokane.  Sounds like the weather will be perfect in McMinnville tomorrow for the passing game so I am amending my point spread slightly.  Cats 45..SP 28.

Cam Cat,
Wildcat One has landed and is on the ground.  Plan to check out the vineyards today to get in the right frame of mine for the battle tomorrow and of course the Tailgater.
It's a deal -- you host KK in the first half in your skybox and I'll host
him in the second half in my skybox...of course we need to make sure we get the  leak in the roof fixed before he hits town  so that we don't have to listen to that all game long!
See ya at the Tailgate!
