OneArmedScot....Nice artical on "Keck". He's a stud out there along with alot of other guys on the team who fly under the radar...

The DEFENSE does not get as much credit as the should. If they wouldn't have played so tough sat. then we would have needed alot more than 2 T.D. to win the game

It's a four part series:

Under-rated contributors on the defending National Champions

First Installment:  Brad McKechnie
Second Installment:  The Defense
Third Installment:  The Cheerleaders
Fourth Installment:  Former Presidnet Vivian Bull

So stay tuned.

Lots of talk of the Linfield Passing Game....I wonder if Locey is going to try to push the running game again this week (ala the first quarter last week)....  Might not be a bad idea as I'm guessing UWW will be on Allen, Haze, and Keck......might open up some holes for the RBs or even BE.  I think both teams are going to bring some suprises this week....any thoughts on this?

Did that actually say the Linfield Cheerleaders.... :D  NOW, it has been years since I was in Mac and and least a couple of years since I went to a game (sucks to be in SoCal when the SCIAC won't play the cats.....) but I recall the last look I had at a wildcat cheerleader was in line at the "All You Can Eat" buffet.....maybe the success of the football program has improved the uhm....."quality" of the cheerleading programs as well......Help me out those of you who are more able to be AT the games!

Excerpts:

---"Blowouts are fun," (Elliott) adds, "because you know you're going to win. But, (close games) are a lot more fun. These games you can immerse yourself, lose yourself for two hours. Then go home, take a shower, kick back on the couch and exhale.

---The Warhawks feature sophomore running back Justin Beaver, the nation's leading rusher with 1,913 yards (173.9 per game). He has 18 touchdowns.
"He's not a big kid (5-9, 196 pounds), but he's strong, with good acceleration," Whitewater coach Bob Berezowitz says. "He has a great ability to read his blocks, cut off blocks, with great peripheral vision."

--- "All of us enjoy the competition and close games like these," says linebacker Phil Rombach, a Jesuit High grad. "We have such a great team, we dealt with it."

Nice story on "Kech" or as the children of the summer program he worked for this summer called him "Big beautiful Buff Brad" Brad is a great young man with a bright future. I hope he stays around McMinnville. Brad is loved among the kids and others. And as for the best hands on the team. Well, I'm not sure about that. He managed to drop a tray of cup cakes during the summer.

What has happened? Where are all my arrogant friends from the west coast? No more phone it in by 30 crap? One lucky win by some midwestern hicks and you guys are shaking in your boots! Even your players are afraid, worried about "close" games. This game is over now. You guys have phoned in FEAR. Dare I say fraidy-cats.

I'm thinking it may not be to late to take up that "fast" turf at the cat dome and put in some mud to try to slow down the Warhawks. At least it's suposed to be rainy on Saturday, so you don't have to worry about eating too much dust.

Phone this in, it's Warhawks by 17+

Foss

oldpa, you crack me up. We can't win with you. We talk a big game when we really think we'll win big and we get hammered for it. We say we think it will be close because that's what we really believe and we still get hammered for it.

I know you've asked if your karma could return to 0 since you started giving some props to Elliott, but how is this post going to help you?

But I gave you one anyway just for trying to lighten things up. Plus, the 'Cat is out of the bag now since the Johnnies say you're really not that mean of a guy.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

I'm starting to like this guy. At least he brings something to the table to spice it up.
