Brett isn't the only one like that. They all are class acts.

I agree with you. He's just one of many.
Linfield players, coaches, and trainers, are all #1 in my book.

Instead, here, when you look at the paper there's a Stagg Bowl story teased above the masthead of the front page of the entire newspaper.
Well that's nice, but only 500 people will read it. And it's hard to turn the pages wearing mittens.  :D

Roanoke Times has a circulation of 100,000.

Whoa Dens....did you miss the part about being a joke I sent to my friends.  A little humor.

Newsflash all:  Whitewater didn't use ineligble players...it was a joke a sent privately to some friends that appeared to be a news release.

Just trying to illustrate how suprised we all were we were sitting home this weekend and if you want something to happen bad enough you will believe just about anything.

If this was offensive to some...I certainly apologize.  I guess not all share in my sense of humor.

I thought it was funny

If it suits you, fly to Acapulco and there watch the Stagg Bowl from Salem on TV.

What about having the Stagg Bowl in New Orleans to help improve the economy of the area (after Kitrina/Rita) or maybe near Disneyland/World in CA or FL, I'd be all for it!...or better yet, let's have it at the CatDome every year!....that's just as good as anywhere in the nation!

PS....or how about Mauii, Hawaii....then I'm sure CoCo et al would attend every year.

What's wrong with it in Salem, VA? Most of the D3 teams are Mid-West and East so keep it there. Although Arizona would be nice, or Palm Desert CA at the College of the Desert facilities, they used o hold the NFL's fastest man

Oh heck, since they already have the appropriate attitude and path to the Stagg, why doesn't Division III go back to a 16-team format, the last two teams standing play for the right to play MUC, which gets a 4 game bye, whether they win their conference any given year or not, in the Stagg.

Another suggestion would be to go back to the format used in the NAIA playoffs in the 60's when four teams made it to the national playoffs. Automatic seeds for the MIAC, WIAC and NWC with the selection committee picking the other seed from the rest of the D3 schools. This would probably work just fine. It would cut down on travel time and expenses and allow the players/students to hit the books that much harder.

Some one will whine with that though. I like it.

Great season Wildcats, wish you would've repeated as national champs, but still great year with Brett winning the trophy.

Recruiting season is on us and I know D3 doesn't really have such a season, but do you guys have any names of players who are interested in Linfield? I've heard rumors of some D-I transfers coming in ... would be interesting to find out who those are.

Great season ... not sure if you play the Wolves or not next year. If so, it will be in McMinnville -- ouch!

Tez--I have heard a lot of those rumors too...I think Vince Young is coming since he feels he got shafted in the Heisman.
