Sorry fa natic.....lots of rumors.....none that are going to be repeated by me on the board.

Although when it comes to RB's, the freshman Jon Montalvo looked promising to me when he played in "garbage time".   The next RB might already be on campus.

Not really...and isn't it 4-0?

Tuxguy,
Check your e-mail for a message from me!!  You are the GREATEST!!!
Thanks for everything!! :-* :-* :-* :-*

Yes! Touchdown Tommy back = more entertainment. I'm glad it's happened.

DenS, Look at it this way. Whenever Pat gets upset with one of the 'Cat fans, we can always feel better knowing there is someone he got more upset with (15 month ban, that's brutal!) Also, it's just 3-0, unless the 30 point beatdown we received back in the 60's counts as two losses.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

I've been meaning to tell you how much I enjoy your video clips, and I forgot to mention it to you last night. It's great to see those,  and watch those moments like Bruce Assily putting the hurt on opponents. Ah, he was a work of art. Thanks for the work you put into those.

Welcome back, TDT. Now you can be you again, and won't have to hide in a bus. You've been missed.
Two words:  THE STREAK

Yes it does, Olinemom!  Will be taping over the weekend and will be getting the autograph we talked about tonight so should have your package in the mail by first of next week!  By the way, the gymnastics team successfully defended their crown and won the Regional Championship for the 2nd consecutive year.  Your good thought must have helped.  My daughter had a great meet.
Sorry for the non-football talk, guys!   But, if you love the power and physical nature of football, you got to respect what a gymnast can do.  Some studies have shown that pound for pound, gymnasts are the strongest athletes!!!  The reason being that the gymnast constantly lifts his/her own body weight,   You may choose to believe it or not.  It is an argument heard often around my house between the gymnast and the football player!!!  LOL!!!  Back to the gridiron banter!!!
Enjoy the Superbowl and the food fest, everyone!!    ;D ;D ;D

I agree that the next RB is probably on campus. I do not think that the rb's last year were not capable, I just think that the running game was never given sufficient time to develope. How can that good of an o-line not open a few holes?

Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

I'd second that opinion. As a mostly 'neutral' observer taking in last year's West Region title game, I was very impressed with the way the balanced attack of UW-Whitewater made such a big difference. Linfield probably had a slight edge in offensive talent and firepower, but the total lack of a running threat allowed Whitewater to do some other things defensively (like send extra rushers to get pressure). I'm sure there was enough talent in the 'Cat O-line and RB positions to develop something during the year. But I guess it was never enough of a priority. Sorry if I'm opening an old wound for some of you. :(

d-train...naw, facts is facts and the pain is over here. Just such a long climb to get back, idn't it?

Yup, my Lutes have had a heck of a time trying to regroup. I know everyone at Linfield is hopeful, but I don't think we'll see that much talent and experience on one NWC squad again for several years.

Sorry to be such a downer. You'd think it's a rain-soaked Monday or something.

I agree the 'Cats can/need to improve their running game, but I don't agree with the following quotes. Remember, we were a passing team last year.  O-line only gave up 6 sacks.

d-train: "...total lack of a running threat..."

spiritof86: "How can that good of an o-line not open a few holes?"

I stand behind my quote because you need to remember that I was speaking about that one game much more than the entire season. That day Linfield had 20 yards on 11 carries by the two RB's while Elliott had 67 pass attempts in mostly four and five wideout sets.
