Do you see Jim Massey going to the Rams 1970 or'71 in that same data base?

Thanks again to Wildcat11....

Had to take a break after a Mishap in the Mud before I felt like watching the other two.
Oh well.
Good karma once again goes to #11 although I don't know if I can swallow that MISHAP IN THE MUD so I'll have to skip that one.

Dens.... how's the surf down your way?

and of course when it rains dog droppings, pesticides, Tijuana raw sewage, and cigarette butts all end up where the waves meet the shore.

Damn shame. Dying  (literally in some cases) sport around here.

'Cats: I don' t have a personal view on Elliott because I haven't seen him play live or on TV or tape except a little bit inattentively during the Stagg Bowl in 2004. However, the public, so-called scouting reports (some of which historically are quite good in their prognostications) on him taken as a whole seem to be saying that there is an outside chance that he will be drated in about the 7th round. If he is not, most probably a few NFL teams will attempt to sign him as a free agent. For obvious reasons, it is likely that it would be to his advantage to be a "competed for" free agent rather than a 7th round pick, provided that he can overlook his bruised pride.

Frank, I have to agree with Tuxguy, those of us who've seen him play know he's a special player and most of us just want to see him get a shot. If he doesn't make it, okay, but at least he had the opportunity.

I'm no scout but in my 38+ years, I've seen a lot of QBs at college and pro levels and some of those throws he made where he was threading the eye of the needle, you just can't coach that or "excuse it" to being "just" D-III level--as though the level of the receivers and/or CBs were so far off that anyone's grandmother could have thrown it.

It's too bad you haven't had the chance to see him.  Would've liked an "official" take on him. I know that most teams/scouts won't jump up and down for fear of tipping off other teams to a real gem they've found, so I always feel like we're not getting the full story.
{Clever sign-off goes here.}

Tezbaseball (tis the season) put in his last day Friday with the city till next fall. Tez will be on his way down to Lancaster Calif. to take over as Club House manager for the Lancaster Jet Hawks (advanced A ball/140 games plus the playoffs). Lets wish him well and look forward to the fall when he'll become Tezfootball and a big supporter of Wildcat ball. :)

I think you hit the nail on the proverbial head.  Anybody in the business world, including smart scouts, doesn't go around sharing critical industry information.  I would have to think scouting info is highly confidential.  I won't be surprised if Elliot is the "suprise pick" in the NFL draft....Just my opinion 8)

I have a feeling that if Brett was to get drafted it would be by San Diego in the 7th round.

If he goes undrafted, and he ends up signing a free agent deal, that also will be with the Chargers.

I just really think that Langsdorf will lobby hard for him for obvious reasons, most likely as a free agent on the practice squad.  I wonder if Langsdorf feels some pressure to do that?  Plus Breesy is a Saint now.

By the way Wildcat 11, awsome stuff with those videos and everything.  Those were fun to watch.

This is off the subject but just wanted to comment on Kevin Love and Kyle Singler, the two great junior basketball players from Medford and LO.  All I gotta say is go watch those guy's play next year if you can.
I've never seen a better center than Love in the state of Oregon and Singler is a very rare athlete too.

I actually enjoy watching Singler play football more then basketball.  The dude is 6'8 and lanky but he comes up and hit's, he's the toughest guy on the field.  He's one of those guy's that's tough all game long, super fun to watch.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Randy Marshall a 6th round selection of the Atlanta Falcons in 1970?

The reveal of the moments 1-3 of Linfield's top ten of the past ten years will be delayed until Wednesday morning.  I was gone all weekend and didn't have time to put the finishing touches on the project.

11,

I trust the 2002 game with the Johnnies and the 2003 game with the Johnnies in Collegeville are #1 and #2 on your list.  Rest assured GHC would want it to be this way.

Steel Curtain:
You're not mistaken. However, there are 2 listings for Linfield. One is posted as Linfield (Ore.) the other just as Linfield. Marshall and Massey are listed under the Linfield school.
I found Marshall's name in the Linfield Football Media guide. It appears to me both listings are for our BELOVED WILDCATS.

Year: 1970  Round: 6  Overall:152  Name: Marshall, Randy  Team: Falcons  Position:DE
College: Linfield

FYI: Linfield Baseball players who made to the Major's can be found here:  http://www.baseball-almanac.com/college/linfield_college_baseball_players.shtml

Thanks Swede. Pulled into Lancaster Sunday Morn. Was asked twice about Linfield. Once in Merced and here in Lancaster. They say my sticker......Chat at you soon.
