***Next Week: 2004 UW-Lax***

**as a side note I'll be trying to link up all video clips with an "alternate" link since the file hosting site I use has been so slow over the past couple of weeks.  Also, if you have news stories, related to Wildcat news please let me know.

No kidding!

Gosh it's fun to watch a wide shot of the Fly and see everyone stay on their assignment. Swat!
It is probably somewhat true if you have good athletes with speed one can get even get caught leaning the wrong way and recover if everyone knows what they are doing.

I can say it again... it is more fun watching #3 stop on a dime and accelerate than (most) any slam dunk.

swede:
I got a chuckle from your post. I remember that night so clearly. What a game that was!
Linfield was off the charts! It also brought back memories of High School Friday night games under the lights. Wish we could have more night game this coming season.

Is the HSU game being counted as a night game? People in the know can dispuste this, but I do not think that HSU has lights, do they? I have seen the game listed as a 6pm CST start, but that cannot be confirmed by the HSU SID.

I will be travelling to the game as well- Flying into to Love Field on Friday afternoon and then driving to Abilene and staying their until leaving on Sunday. I have been to Dallas many times, so I think that I can skip the trip to one of their 1,500 area "LoneStar Steakhouses".
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

The lights can be seen above the press boxes.

I had to come to the Northwest board for some info.  Figured you guys would be of some help.  UWW just released their 2006 schedule and there was a surprise team added recently.  Seem the Hawks will play NAIA Azusa Pacific on the 16th of September at Perkins Stadium  Not familiar with them at all but I see from their schedule last season, they played Willamette, Eastern and Southern Oregon so I thought I would come visit my old buddies on this board and see what you all can tell me about the program.

Azusa Pacific is a very tough football program. They play hard nosed, physical football. They usually have a good mix of size and speed and they are well coached. Not sure what they have coming back, but they should be a good early test for the defending champs.

When I hear "Azusa Pacific", the first thing that enters my mind is "Christian Okoye". For those who are youngsters or who have short memories, Okoye played for Azusa Pacific and was the NFL league leading rusher with the Chiefs in 1989. I would bet a small sum that a player of his quality has not played for any DIII college (or any DIII predecessor) during the last 20 years, possibly longer - perhaps as far back as the time of Ken Anderson who last played for Augustana in 1970 before DIII existed.

Pat: My memory of Warren is hazy, possibly because Seattle's TV coverage in the eastern time zone has been limited. Okoye's and Warren's career statistics are roughly comparable. One point of distinction is that Okoye received some all-NFL recognition in 1989 and 1991 and some player-of-the-year recognition in 1989; Warren received no similar recognition.

Frank,

Chris Warren lit up the Pro Bowl in 1995 I believe.  Would have been a Pro Bowl rushing record had it not been for an even better day by Marshall Faulk.  I think Warren had like 200 yards rushing and Faulk had 246.

I might be confusing him, but I dont think so.  I get confused with the Colts int he AFC and the Seahawks now in the NFC, but I think they were teammates.
