I'm so out of the loop now. What's going on with Linfield? Any quality transfers? What does the Cats look like going into spring drills?

Hi Tez
So the season hasn't started out well. Close games all on the road. Bet your excited about your home opener. I have heard of a few quality H.S. players that will be cats but not any transfers.  :)

I want to wish all the NWC folks a Happy Easter.

Special to Tez, does this weird California spring weather make you feel like you were back in the PNW? ;D Rough start for the Jethawks so far. Looking forward to your passing through in June.

I'm ready for football to start! :D

Did you see Brett Elliott interviewed on Oregon Sports Final,
Fox Channel 12 tonight?  He says his agent tells him he will be in training camp somewhere this year.  Let's hope that's the case.

Dang. Missed that one. I think he'll be in a training camp somewhere too. Just whether it's as a draft prospect or a free agent remains to be seen.

Touchdown Tommy has been bugging me for sometime for a SJU/Linfield highlight and he hasn't been very nice in asking.  Take the following requests below:

Hey 11,

Can you satisfy my appetite for Johnnie/Wildcat highlights?

hey 11, your videos are boring TDT.  Could you please show some highlight films from the 03 West Region Final or maybe that Johnnies win in McMinnville?

Well, TDT gets his wish as I supply him and all of you with a quick little SJU/Linfield hightlight clip:

Last night the bats woke up. The D-Backs #3 prospect Carlos Gonzalez hit his first 2 homeruns. Things are looking better....

WC11,
Love the clip.  Actually, I love all the clips, but the most recent dedicated to TDT is a classic response.  Keep'em coming.
There's nothing like being a wildcat.  Some say they understand, but until you've lived it, you have no idea.

Well, so much for Colorado College joining the NWC (see the front page). It never seemed real likely, but there was some interest on both sides for a time. Everybody get their taxes in? Will LBC be lurking around again soon?

Ok, time for a "dumb" and possibly totally irrelevant question -

Colorado College in the west region belongs to a conference that for the most part is in the southern region - If they became very good and won a large number of their games, does this screw up regional rankings as they would end up with an inordinate number of out of region wins?

Las Vegas Wildcards

Is Pacific still on track to bring back their program in 2007, would they play a JV schedule starting out? Does anyone think Albertson College will eventually bring football back as well? Just wondering.

The SCAC would likely work the same way the UAA and AMCC do, with all conference games being regional games.

On the main page there are new highlight video links to the Tri-Cities Fever vs. the Twin City Gators of the NIFL.  The video clips are presented by the Tri-Cities Herald and do require you sign up for a user ID.

The clips feature former Wildcat QB, Blake Kluse (2003) in his first football action since playing at Linfield.  Blake is playing along with former 'Cats WR George Carter (2004) and RB Thomas Ford (2004).

Access the clips here:  Catdomealumni.com

Also, there are updated news links featuring an article on Kluse and a game story.  There is also a quick blurb on 2002 standout defensive lineman Ricky Gaspar as he lands a new gig with an Arena Football League team.

****Also, make sure to wish Gig Harbor Cat a happy birthday.****

Gig Harbor Cat is still purring? Man, that's one old feline. I wished I'd known, I could have gotten him an autographed copy of Frosty's new book. I know he'd rather have some new Oakley blades, but what fun would that be?  ;)

BTW, I was at a 30th b-day party last week when the guy got one of the best gag gifts I'd ever seen: Brokeback Mountain on DVD and a kid's stick horse. Now that's some funny stuff right there.  ;D

Perhaps a dumb question here, but is the NIFL the same thing as Arena Football?  As you can tell, I'm not a big fan of AF, so I don't know these things...  :-\
