The only thing I could dig up regarding transfer recievers was a kid from Wyoming that is coming here.  Couldn't find out anything about his speed, but just where he is coming from.  Besides that it's just Bubba and Nooy so far as i can tell.
There's nothing like being a wildcat.  Some say they understand, but until you've lived it, you have no idea.

Little more news about the reciever.  He's tall, about 6'4 or 6'5.  He was on campus today and is not committed at this point, but seriously considering transfering to Linfield.  He played high school ball in Arizona and is supposed to be a freak athletically.

My inside sources report  "two DI receivers transferring to Linfield...One of them....runs a 4.3 forty."

Be sweet if that's true. That first season of Elliot being here was great: Allen on one side, Carter on the other. Who do defenses try to defend?  I loved it.

I see Casey Allen has a new teammate in Winnipeg, Onterrio Smith from Oregon.
Here you go. [/size]

If he stays clean however, he may be back to the Vikings by October. Any chance some of Casey's good Linfield character will rub off on him and help make his transition back to the NFL a bit easier?

And just as important: will Smith return the favor and tell the Vikes' coaching staff, "Hey, there's a guy with great hands and good speed you ought to take a look at."

Casey would probably be a good fit for the Vikings.

That news article has a little mistake in it:  "Elliott has since signed a free-agent contract with the Cincinnati Bengals."

We're all one big happy feline family!
At least they spelled his name correctly.

Any bright spots in this Spring's "practices" at Linfield?

Funny. When I tired to load that page, it said "errors on page" but I don't think the tigers thing was what they were talking about...

Anyway, in case anyone else it having problems with it, here's a direct link to it: http://www.chargers.com/news/headlines/news_20060513.htm

In a radio interview I listed to a week or so ago, Elliott mentioned he was contacted by the Cincinnati Bengals (nothing transpired) before the deal with San Diego took place. Maybe that was where the confusion on the article stems from. As far as the "Linfield Tigers", no help on that one - unless they still had "Bengal' on the brain, which is a type of "tiger". But that's a real stretch now isn't it......?
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

For Those Who Missed It:

The Lady Wildcats Softball team won the Western Region
Championship today and are headed to the College World
Series next weekend.  For those Cats lurking around Raleigh,
North Carolina next weekend stop by the softball stadium and lend a little support to the Lady Cats.

Stories on their Championship run can be read at www.linfield.edu/sports/.....

Way to go Cats...bring the trophy back to Mac...

LEAVE NO DOUBT

Congrats to the Lady Wildcats softball team for the West Region championship. The only problem they will now encounter in the College World Series is a team from the MIAC, the University of St. Thomas. Two time defending national champions, ranked #1 in the nation in D3. Should the Tommies and the Wildcats meet up, the MIAC will once again dominate. You can phone it in. ;D
