Gig Harbor Cat

DC 1  You are the man.  You live quite a life--the one we all dream about.  Twins-fast cars-golf-does it get any better, can't wait to see you at the Catdome for a full update.

Do you think the twins will like my new dance moves ?

Welcome on board, let me be the first to give you +karma.
Thank you for all the memories. I've watched wildcat football for the last 48 years and this last four years has to be perhaps the best although there were some outstanding years in the '80's. Were you surprised or stunned to see coach Locey move on.  At first I had a hard time with it but seeing how he grew up in Corvallis and played high school ball with Riley and having attended OSU I can understand him wanting to gome home. What's your take on next year and on who the new head coach will be?
I can't see the 'cats going outside of the catdome to find a new head coach. In fact I think Joe Smith will take over the helm.
Thanks again and stay tuned
Swede :)

I got some good face time with Dr. Helle yesterday at the Linfield alumni event in Portland and did discuss Jay Locey's leaving but have no scoop for you as to what may be happening next.  Wouldn't you think you'd get a better insight into how that would shake out from this board than you might get from the President?

It was at Urban Wineworks, very authentic winery ambiance but with The Rose Festival, etc. as a distraction it was not as well attended as I might have expected. The upside was you got to spend some good time with some of the Linfield big shots.  I met the Pres. of the Board of Trustees and got to talk with her a bit.  After all don't you want to get know whose sky box may be next to yours in phase 3 of the expansion? :)

Swede thanks for the kind words there were some truly special players/teams in the last four years its too bad we could only get one unlike those great cat teams from the 80's.
I have to say congrats to Coach Locey, it is a great opportunity for him and his family at a timing that seems just right if the P.Tribune had not leaked the story.
I think the cats are still the team to beat in the west.  This is a very motivated group of seniors and a coaching staff regardless who gets the head job is filled with Linfield Alum. who know how to win and do things the right way.  I am excited for the '06 team and for some young coaches who have had outstanding careers at Linfield both on the field and on the sideline get a bigger coaching role.

DC 1 ,
Good to hear from you.  I kind of figured the twins already had schooled you on all the right moves, I just wasn't sure you could keep up cowboy , GIddiup!!!!  No golf right now for me.  Lots of time on the boat in the sound.

I am shocked that the Linfield President wouldn't tell you details on the coaching situation. Imagine that!
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Well done....again.

Does my heart good to see them young 'uns make the correct choice first time instead of goin' up river to Spokane or out to Western Washington and then transferring down the road a bit.

Looks like another great pick up for the Cats!

Thanks 11 for the clip and the recruit news! Reloading for another run at #1.
                             GO WILDCATS!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Couple of questions for the WILDCAT faithful....
in the newly released Willamette footage did Hazenberg leap over the mix to break up a pass and then intercept on the next play? Same series? Impressive.

does anyone care to venture comparing Brett's total yardage with that of yardage gained after the pass was caught? I expect some flak from the question but if Geo T can take it, so can I.

raiderguy

Just a quick question.
Is there any copies of the Linfield vs Whitewater playoff game available?
I bought your highlight video but I would sure like to see the whole game if someone has a copy.
I don't expect it free so let me know a cost if available.

Thanks.

Sorry to hear of your loss but I am sure the program is in good hands. I know what it would do to our program if LK was leaving. JUMP!!

Go Raiders!

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Dens...

First of all...GREAT question.

However....

Yards after catch is NOT an official statistic....we don't even take notes on it.    Yards after catch is something that stat heads may keep (like on television), but it isn't a component of the official NCAA box.

Should it become an official statistic??  IMO, why not??   We can feed that information into a computer just as easily as anything else.   But write the NCAA about it....not Kelly Bird or me.

The only guy who's concerned with "yards after catch" is John Madden. What a joke!
Just means the QB threw it to the right receiver at the right time.
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!
