"Airplane" dialogue beats Hamm's beer talk, FWIW....
Oh yeah, dis Hamm's over here. Be a man about it and do it on the MIAC board.  ;D
And don't forget the hilarious Airplane dialogue and the 12 pack of Olympia.  :D

R & P,

Don't get me wrong, they stuck with the girl they brought to the dance and I have no problem with that, hell, they damn near won the game anyway, it was lethal.

I was speaking more to being so protective over the game film.  We passed a lot on offense and blitzed a lot on defense, nothing tricky you just had to defend it and really nobody could all year, but for one drive at the end.

However it is tough to argue that the complete lack of a reliable running game to get one first down and ice the game wasn't a major factor in the loss.

I have it on good authority that Jim Nagel, the Linfield QB coach, is also being considered for promotion to head coach.

Anyone else hear that?
{Clever sign-off goes here.}

Cut City

Looks like I'm the first to post it.

This...just in...

Joe Smith will be the new head coach for the wildcats.

I'm surprised anybody is saying anything - I know it is late in the school year (or it is over), but the Linfield website still has that Locey is considering the new position.

Exactly downtown 48

LK has a copy of the game film. What he learned he used in Salem last year against the team that was there. What more could he learn this year..not much. Different team, players and coach.

I just wanted to see "The Game". I guess some "nervous nellies" think I will be able to some how dissect the Linfield secret game plan and pass it along to LK.  I will have to give OL' LK a call and have him shoot me a copy. I am so well connected you know.

If you are looking for the Yang to Linfields (Ying), their passing on nearly every play check out the Augustana vs Mount playoff game. Augustana came into the game with 17-31-3 passing stats for the season! They finished the game in Alliance 0-2-1 for the season total of 17-33-4.

They decided to try and stop the Raider passing game and it resulted in Jorris only going 8-10 for 125yds and one score. Mount gave them a dose of their own medicine and Kimic ran for 361 yds on 37 carries and four TD's. You would think a team that ran as much as Augustana would know how to stop someone else's running game. I for one am glad they did not.

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Since It took untill today to finally hit the news wire that coach Locey would be taking the OSU job, I'll wait till it hits the Linfield Athletics News Release page to give congrats to a new head coach!! ;D

Thanks Cut City........ but I've learned over the years not to jump to soon. Who ever it my be, I know carny will make a good choice!!

GO WILDCATS.. LEAVE NO DOUBT '06
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

I would have a hard time believing that Nagle would be seriously considered for the head coaching job.  Don't get me wrong, the man is amazing at what he does.  Probably one of the best football minds (especially offensive) in the Northwest, period.  However I don't think he has that "x" factor that a successful college head coach needs.  His quite demeanor may not appeal to the high school recruits, nor may it be capable of leading a national powerhouse of a team.  Again, I think he is a great coach, just not quite head college coach material.
There's nothing like being a wildcat.  Some say they understand, but until you've lived it, you have no idea.

Oh well....goodbye
and good luck in the PAC 10.

That LINFIELD SID Kelly Bird is so good that Locey piece makes me want to drop the wisecrack about hoping the Whitewater running game film was not sent to Oregon State when applying for the running back coach position.

Wildcat'64

Desert Cat,

What are your thoughts as to Cut City's announcement???
I thought you might just have a little "inside" info if that is what is due to be announced.

If so, does the Desert Cat spend the entire season watching film in Mac rather than just the playoffs????  Lots of Friday nights dancing at the Elks if that is the case!

Don't you just love the irony.   Coach Locey is leaving the Cats for a new coaching position where he will primarily work with the runningbacks?    LOL!     ;D ;D ;D

I wish him all the best. It sounds like a great opportunity and a new challenge which is something we all need at times in our lives!!
