For those interested the 'cats 7 on 7 is held on Sunday nights as well as Weds.

May you all have a safe and happy 4th.

So what percent of Linfield students play a varsity sport?

MonroviaCat

I seem to recall that the cats were selected to play some game over-seas back in the spring but have not found any information on this.  Anybody know what happened?

Go Cats!

rockcat, Menlo is NAIA for all sports but football, baseball, and softball. They belong to the Cal-Pac NAIA conference and are the only small school in the area that plays football. Also a large number  of their male population wrestles. For what it's worth, they have women's wrestling there. I have not seen them compete, but have seen some of their women wrestlers selling raffle tickets at the football games. Don't get them mad at you! ;D

7 on 7 at Linfield... anyone check it out yet?  Coaches can't be involved  so I'm not sure how effective they are.

Cut City

The team was considering traveling to Austria in early June but the trip was cancelled due to the lack of interest/high cost.

Tuxguy

The over seas trip would have been a great experience for the young men but the bottom line was "HIGH COST".  :o :(

;D  Everyone have a wonderful and Safe 4th of July!!!! ;D

p.s. stay away from hwy 18 at all costs!!!!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

can someone explain to this rookie what karma is, how it works, why it goes up and down, and its value??

Trask had a totally different vibe than other places on 3rd St.  It was cool but it wasn't really a place to chill and talk on a Friday or Saturday because it was so loud.  The live bands would play and their music would bounce off those brick walls.  You could never hear anything.

I missed that being from out of town and having only gone after Linfield football games.

Once you reach the 200 post mark, you can give posters positive or negative karma if you like or dislike something someone has to say. Once you reach the magic mark there will be, under each person's name, the ability to click applaud or smite. Don't get too hung up on it. ;D

Wildcat 64 and other serious hikers, walkers and runners.

Do you find after a serious hike, walk or run that your lower and or upper  back gets out of alignment?  You can go put your favorite chiropractor on retainer or you can do what I and many others have done and get yourself an inversion table for about $150 on eBay.  Getting upside down for a few minutes and reversing the gravitational pull works wonders for decompressing your spine.

OK, so this has nothing to do with football but certainly no less so than a lot of jokes and Hamms beer discussions as found on other message boards.

No coaches involved. Just a group of players that stick around for the summer and workout.

Expect a wildcat LB to be moved into the secondary and as a starter

All you band guys will be happy to hear that I just got my season ticket order form and there is a letter from Carney in it.

"We have made arrangements to have a pep band that will be located at the north end of the football field.  They will be housed in a tent specifically for the band."

Here's hoping it's not a second rate crew that shows up and plays the songs for the first time together on Saturdays!    ::) :P

Sigh. These guys used to go to PLU.

Great news concerning the Pep Band.
Thanks to everyone who had a hand in making it happen.

Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!
