I hope everyone has a safe 4th. So is the pep band really back? I can't wait for another season of watching teams get Cat nipped. It's also nice to see that in the great NorthWest it's around 70 as I type this. Unlike here in Lancaster it's already 100. Go Cats

Many Thanks to all those who had a hand in bringing back the Pep Band in '06! Appears that some of the suggestions which were raised on this Board, i.e. The Tent, Separate Area from the Covered Stand, were used in the decision.
If we now have a "quality Pep Band" playing the Wildcat fight song (instead of the piped in Music), the overall Saturday experience at the Catdome will be improved once again. The Catdome continues to improve to be the #1 place to watch Small College Football in the Northwest!

Now we need to have a small fundraising fund to buy the hot dogs for those High School Marching Bands to entertain at half time. What a great recruiting tool for Linfield admissions to get more high school students on campus participating in a college football game! Of course, that suggestion began on this Board earlier as well.

Thanks again to those who had a hand in getting the Pep Band started up once again!

That's great to hear about the pep band. There will be high school marching bands at halftime too? Cool. Now, which game or games can I get up to Mac for?

You band guys are starting to even get me into it. It was so exciting to see the Wildcats play the last 2 years I have attended the games, as I said before, I never even missed the band.

I"ll tell you what "64. I will donate the free hot dog (not nearly as good as a Burger King burger for sure

) I get every game as a Top Cat Club member to a worthy band member. I never eat it anyway.

You contribution here has been such a great idea I want you to be the first recipient of karma on my behalf for suggesting the idea. I was going to hold out till the 4th of July for my 200th post but just couldn't resist this temptation.

I am spreading D3 Holy Water on most anyone within shouting distance today. Happy 4th of July to everyone one day early.

Is there any truth that Brittney Spears has been booked to do half time with the Band at the Willamette Home coming game Sept. 30th?

Conventional wisdom says she's pregnant but do you think it might be she is not with child (again) afterall but rather this is the result of her pizza, beer and bon bons diet?

Wasn't it just last week she was crying that she wanted the media to leave her alone? Sure Brittney.

A few years ago having Britney Spears on campus would have been great for recruiting but now I don't think a chain smoking, overweight mother of two would do much!

Stopped in the Trask Pub on sat. night. Live music, Pool and same/new good service and libations. The new owner has some good ideas and should make a good go of it!

Great news about the band! guess I need to check the mail box for my ticket info.

CamCat.....Not sure about Britney, I heard Bono was playing and they are just waiting for the ink to dry.

Brittney? Not sure here everyone is hearing that at. I heard it was John Tesh and a return of the Jackson 5. Happy 4th everyone.

No brittney will not be playing with my pepband. I think that is a good thing. Anyway, yes it is true that there has been arrengements to allow the pepband to play at the games this year. Some of the details still need to be worked out but so far it looks good. I would like to thank you all for your support. Knowing how touchy those Johnnies are on the MIAC board it's probably best we don't go over there and be talking about D3 Holy Water. If they are sensitive about that what do you think they'd have to say if you asked them, Who actually assassinated JFK? Scroll down till you see the name of the good Cardinal.
