I'm starting to salivate, thinking about the huge spread of all those different dishes and the BBQs going.

Mrs. Coco has sent me the fall home game schedule and I am very much trying to find a date it works to fly out for another game.  It would be wonderful to see all my Linfield friends again!  We had such a good time when we were out there for the game last year.  Thanks to all for your hospitality!  Hope to see you soon

Nice article today in the McMinnville News Register about Steve Lopes -- a very worthy inductee into the Linfield Sports Hall of Fame.

I did not recall, until reading the article, that his brother, also a Cat, is the VP and General Counsel for the Seattle Seahawks.

Steve, also points out how he wishes Division I had a playoff system like Division III in football -- I'll bet he does with the success he has experienced at USC.

The roots of the Linfield Old Oaks truly reach far and wide in the pro, college and high school coaching community!

Ah, WC11, please tell us... (envision all of the NWC board like a bunch of first graders sitting crosslegged on the carpet, waiting to hear the story!)

The 2002 Menlo game was very memorable.....I had a ton of family here for the alumni service award banquet, bought  tickets to the game for those who were interested and told them the game should be half way competitive.  It wasn't.   And a lot of them left at halftime.

Not to get into the details of the smackdown, let's say that Menlo was a little full of themselves pregame.    I'll leave it at that.

David Russell has to be one of my all-time favorite RBs, and what a nice kid, too. You don't see many players of his caliber come from 8-man programs.

The Bubb Rubb ending was perfect!

I remember leaving to go to the bathroom with about 2 minutes to go in the first half when I ran into HD Waddell.  While we're standing there the Cats scored twice in about 45 seconds.  We both thought maybe somebody was trying to make a statement.
