86,

WOW -- 1,000 on the waiting list for a Reserved Seat at the Catdome.  A lot of D3 schools would be happy if they had 1,000 show up at a game.
Guess it must be about time for Phase 2 of the Catdome remodel and put that second deck on the stadium....of course then we would have to also plan to "increase the size of the dome".... ;)

You're right 64.......the time for CatDome project is near.   The big factor keeping the project from completion is the usual one.....money.   The more of us who open our checkbooks, the faster it will get done...

Wildcat11.......love the video clips :)

Desertcat: I understand that your son is Linfield's new head coach.  Congratulations!  He used to play for the Cats, didn't he?  Where else has he coached, etc.....

Bean,

That certainly is the truth --- it always comes down to money.
Time to "pass the plate" again and get those $$$ to give those 1,000 folks a seat in the Catdome  --- I know why they want those covered seats when that beautiful liquid sunshine begins to sprinkle on the Dome! :)

Does anybody know how much the stadium renovation will cost?

Rockcat...

The answer to your question is yes.....but like a lot of things, details of the project is best left off of this board.    This chat forum is for fan chat, not a news site.  Too much stuff that should not be discussed makes its way here anyway.

I know that is a tough deal for Wildcat fans and alums who are out of town....I'm sure it is frustrating.   But there have been a few too many liberties taken in the past by people who are too close to the program.   While the cost of an facilities project is not as sensitive as say, an injury to a key player....the principle pretty much is the same.

My two bits....your mileage may vary ;)

Far be it from me to discuss the new president's and admission committee's outlook on the athletic traditions of LINFIELD here.

Dens....the new president and admissions committee has an "outlook" on the athletic traditions of Linfield??    Tom Hellie has been here less than four months for goodness sakes....

Far be it indeed.....

Well said.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Understandable.  Many projects are published for the public to see or are listed online, in alumni magazines, etc.  I didn't equate this with personal information but will take your advice in leaving it alone.

I see what you are saying, Bean. But don't be too quick to dismiss Dens on this one. I know you've been around this conference long enough to understand the relationships between admissions, administration, and athletics. Changes in the first two at L&C might lead to some improved teams over the next few years; change in the middle one might be enough to bring college football back to Forest Grove; etc. From things that I've heard, there may have been a enough of a recent change in these relationships at Linfield that the position at OSU looked that much more attractive to Locey.

karmelized d-train for his month of July quota!

A little over a decade ago the Train (and not the one that passes the Catdome on any given game day) got off the track for a short period of time.  Some of you elders will recall it didn't take long for the alumni to get wind of the derailment and funds immediately started to flow directly to the athletic department.  The Conductor and Engineers, at the time,  recognized quickly the importance of keeping all the cars of the train on the track.  The winning seasons continued without  a collision at any crossing!

I suspect the new Conductor and Engineers, being as intelligent and astute as they are, will quickly recognize the importance of keeping the Catdome Train on the track.

:D

Maybe the 'D' Train and the other routes and lines out of Parkland and Salem forced the Catdome Train off its tracks for a little bit??

I'm starting to smell the start of the season
