To expand on downtown's post....the rout that Wesley took on the chin at Whitewater is the third straight that the East Region took in the semis.....not hard to forget Rowan's 52-0 loss at Linfield in 2004.   In 2003, St. John's beat RPI handily in the semi finals, 38-10.   (Now Pat, I know that West wasn't west last year, it was the "Linfield" bracket....but leaving that semantic aside...)

To paraphrase Dr. Rumack, "I think there is a trend here...."

PS--Negative karma is a badge of honor, GHC.

GHC,
How about a tailgate warm up at the Purple White Game? Anyone?

GHC, just make a note of the date  for your plus karma. See how long till you hit the minus. I'll give you a boost to start!

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

I believe Wesley hails from the South. They won at Mary Hardin-Baylor on their way to Whitewater, Wisc.

During the Welsey/Whitewater game, there was a major weather factor.  Field covered in ice and snow and the Wesley boys played in cleats!  Warhawks came out in cleats, turned right around, went back in the locker room and changed to  turf shoes.   Wesley boys looked like they were on a skating rink and wanted to be anywhere else and the Wisconsin boys played in the snow like they did it every day!  Maybe D-3 football.com is cutting them some slack and not putting too much stock in that rout and weighing it too heavily into their chance this year.  If I remember right, that 47-0 rout earlier in the year had something to do with rain and mud and the wrong shoes.  A new equipment manager may be in order!!!  ;D ;D
"Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!"  Dennis Miller

"Three things you don't want to be in football, slow, small and friendly!"  John Madden

"You can learn more character on the two-yard line than anywhere else in
life." Paul Dietzel / LSU

A big thanks to PC for leaving the Cardinal and Purple LINFIELD Stagg stuff up on the banner so long.

The King is dead!.......Long live the King!

I read today on the Daily Dose that ALL 234 teams can be in the top 234.  It's too bad we can't throw in some DII's.  Western Oregon and their merry band of headhunters might sneak in at 235... :-*

Shouldn't the photo caption on the front page read:

"Barring injury, Quinton Jones will be back for HSU"   ;)

That wou game is huge, for obvious reasons. I think that us catdomers are going to get to see a highly motivated bunch of players with questionable on-field morals who may feel (for the first time since the series reinvention) that they can beat Linfield. I would be curious as to what wou is brining to the table, but I cannot bring myself to go to their pee-poor website.

And of course, the cats WILL roll....

Your comment caused quite a stir an another board, Mr. Humble.

Semantics aside, as others point out, Wesley was not an East Region team last year and never has been. Just posting to confirm this.

The East Region rep did just fine in the national semifinals last year -- ask the folks at Mount Union.

When is the purple and white game? I have been working on my tailgating skills while toiling in the Cal League this summer....I'm ready...

How do you tailgate out of a bus? ;D  ::) Unfortunately it looks like no playoffs for the Jethawks Tez. Give a call if you get a chance as you pass through Mo town headed north.

Well, we need to win the 2nd half. At the start of tonights game we were 1.5 games out of 1st. Things are heating up here in the clubhouse. A few of the players got bent out of shape due to a couple of pranks. Of course your's truly was the source. So I have a couple of players not talking at the moment....
