DGD,

My understanding of what you said is that the Chargers are finalizing a trade...Brett Elliott for Brett Favre.  Did I misunderstand? ;)

(I'm just kidding for all of you gossipers out there)

Wildcat'64

San Diego announced today that they have waived 7 players plus 1 waived last week....BE's name was NOT included on the waiver list.  Evidently the next round of waivers come this weekend to trim squad to the final 53 members plus 8 practice squad members.

Good luck to Brett!
LEAVE NO DOUBT

No real purpose, but I decided to stop in and get the latest on the other Elliott.

Great to here he still has a roster spot after the most recent cuts, best of luck to him! He's a lot easier to root for now that SJU won;t have to try and play pass coverage against him!

+k to all on the last 3 pages, good luck this regular season, hope to have reason to banter back and forth come December!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Chargers still must cut two more by tomorrow afternoon. Is the RB from Eastern Oregon still on the roster?

It would be great for d3 if he makes it and would help Linfield in it's recruiting, like they need it. ;)

Gee KR.....I think Linfield nation felt the same way about Blake Elliott...although injury cost him a chance to compete at training camp.

The press release from the Chargers..

Two more cuts tomorrow.....I'd bet that Brett is in pretty good shape to survive since four QB's out of 75 guys isn't too bad.   Rosters must be to 53 by 3pm PDT on Saturday.   Eight man practice rosters are established on Sunday after those players clear waivers.

I just hope that we don't open up nfl.com and find out that SD has made a deal for a veteran QB......

I kind of suspected that feeling about each other's Elliott's was mutual :)

The silver lining of Blake's injury was that it guaranteed him the minimum $275,000 for the year without having to do anything which allowed him to care for his dad as he went through chemo. From what I know of Blake, I think taking care of his dad for the year meant was a lot more important than being a 5th string NFL WR.

You are doing a great job of promoting Wildcat football...The recruiting department needs to send prospects to your website.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

wildcat, Ive got to agree with wyly...You should get a job with Linfield in the recruiting dept.  If I were a kid and considering a d3 school and saw your promotion.......Id be a cat rather than a dawg! ;)

Thank you sir!
I'll re-sprinkle some Holy Water upon the entire NWC congregation as soon as the Vatican allows.
