When I talked to Brett on Sunday he said Casey was doing some sightseeing in Europe with a buddy, so not sure if he'll be back in Mac for Saturday's game or not.

Thanks for the update on Casey. How does Brett feel about the practice squad? What's he been hearing from the coaches about the chance of getting promoted?

Brett was pretty pumped up about staying in San Diego. When cuts were made on Saturday, several of the players were told they would be certainly signed to the practice squad, but he wasn't one of them. Made for an extremely unsettling night.

He didn't sound too concerned about going to the active roster for the time being and was more worried about doing whatever he could to help the team, which would help his stock as well.

He did have a prediction for Saturday's game, but I think all of the 'Cat fans can guess what it was.

Last spring I spoke with a Linfield student teacher from Tacoma, she said she chose Linfield over PLU because of the community. I've never been to Parkland, is it that bad?

Hopefully I can get the wife to fix some of her swedeish meatball's for the tailgater.

WOW! Busy day on the boards. Good to read other NWC posts. Time to head out for some H.S. ball, SOU at Menlo tomorrow, and then I'll join the other cyber Cats who can't make it to the Catdome. Have fun all.

Parkland is a quaint little joy of a town.

Channel 8 in Portland this evening just did I nice piece on Linfield's first game of the season tomorrow night.  Nothing but positive stuff about the Linfield football program.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. Our campus itself is really safe, but the area is sketchy.

Home opener under the lights!!...

Cats offense takes a bit to get on track but...the CRAZY FAST defense unleashes
the gator bomber switch viper taser blitz package and keeps the WOU offense guessing and the game close.  Linfield makes their money where they always do...in the 4th quarter!

Linfield 35
WOU 21

GHC Phone it in for me, I've only got one bar!

I saw it on tape.

Yes, the opponent was peppered. But the opponents' fans weren't bragging up their D that way all season either.

Perhaps. But I saw UWW play three times and score 28, 28 and 34. Twice at home and a neutral field. Not quite like throwing down 44 on the road in my book.

Touche'  ;)

It was an impressive offensive performance to say the least.  Despite the result that game still goes down as one of the greatest games I've seen.

I'll eat my shorts if WOU scores 44 tomorrow...ain't happening.
