politician-

the chills are coming back.  I remember Saturday morning meeting in Graf Hall for the first time.  I sat in awe as Coach Rutschman orchestrated the pregame ritual.  You are right, those do stick in your head.  I knew I was in a special place.

Josh Bowerman

Bluenote--

I wouldn't characterize this as a rebuilding year for HSU.  This team has an opportunity, with all the players back from last year that they have the luxury of having, of being one of HSU's better teams.

Whether or not they achieve their potential remains to be seen, and we HSU fans should have a better idea one way or the other on Saturday night how it might turn out in the end.

We're looking forward to an exciting, well played game against a well-respected program.  I'm just happy that I'm going to get to be there to see it in person!

I dont know about you guys but every time i think about wildcat football i think about the sideline reminders.  Crazy how something sticks in your head for the rest of your life....
Talk about a cool feeling end of pre game practice.  everyone on the same page believing, and in unison (sp?) spouting the words...
gives me chills to hear the words....
Dont give up on the cats yet........long season, and everyday, sure is a good day to be a wildcat!!!

How do we substitute:  "Hustle on, hustle off, call the mans name."
Everybody in the ballgame, Offense: "Right"  Defense: "Left" Special teams: "In the middle"
Punt and punt return ready to go on: "3rd down."
Unusual formations: "Take a look at them and call time out."
Time outs per half: "3 save one for thelast play of the half."
Who can call a time out: "Any player," What do they have to do: "Sprint to the nearest official and call time out."
Kicking game rules: 1) "Don't be off sides" 2) "don't rough the kicker" 3) "dont block below the waist" 4) "dont clip" 5) "catch the ball"
Goaline defense: 1) "attitude!!!!"  2) "create a line of scrimmage two yards deep, get up and play football"  3) they will not score on the: "run"  if they pass it must be: "over the top"
Goaline offense: 1) "attitude!!!"  2) "create a line of scrimmage two yards deep"
3) "sustain!!!"

How could you forget SCORE! at the end of the reminder.
Lop the head off!!!

Orca Jr.

I had the same question???? ;D
Not payin much attention to the offensive part huh? ;D
There's nothing like being a wildcat.  Some say they understand, but until you've lived it, you have no idea.

I got this from the Minnesota board.

That is one way to get a starting spot but pretty hard to keep it...... from jail! ;D

Listen, Guys, I haven't posted on here this week because I know it has been a rough one for you all but I wanted to wish the Cats and their wonderful fans alot of luck in Texas this weekend.  One game doesn't mean a damn thing  (especially the first game against an improved D-2 team, no less,) in the course of a season.  They will bounce back with a vengence and I wouldn't want to be the team to face them this weekend!  Just keep supporting those boys and have patience.   I am confident that they will get plenty of W's!!

Thanks, fan413.
I figure that game was like a shakedown cruise. The coaches know what they need to work on, and we'll be fine.
As others have said, we've lost games before, and it's better to lose one early in the season rather than late.

We'll  be back because we're the Wildcats!

Speaking of shaking things off... Anyone know what the mood's like on campus / during practice? Have the guys started getting fired up?

No offense to the Cowboy fans present, but there's nothing I'd like to see better than a total stomp this weekend.

Except for maybe a close one in the final minutes that keeps everyone on the edge of their seats until the last play. Never give up while there's time on the board.

And one more final thought......

Be grateful for the past, optomistic about the future and above all........
                    be thankful you're not a Packers fan!!!!! ;) :D ;D

Catville Commissioner Elect

Coco,

Gee Wiz, I would hate to see what would happen if they had a lot of competition at QB.  There goes the arm or a lot of competition at WR , there goes a leg.  I would say that I think he was a little over zealous.

Lets not forget.....

This was at Northern Colorado?

In the past I would have expected it from the U. of Colorado.
Now with ex Bearcat coach Hawkins in charge, I hope  things are different.

Thanks for the kind words fbf413.

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!
