One correction hatchetman75, the Bearkitties are the ones on the road, travelling down to the ritzy 'burbs and tiny venue in the SF Bay area. I'll be at the game and report back.

D'oh! I thought I read that correctly off the net, but I guess not.  In that case, Menlo gets the win, with the score flipped.  It's going to be a long year for ol' Willamette. And maybe the D3 Oregon schools in general. Good thing Linfield has a week to recuperate from their losses.

Agreed. I had getting fat down to a science.

LCC vs. CC

The battle of the C's! Colorado College has been terrible for years, and I don't expect them to get any better anytime soon.  However, LCC is equally bad, and they're playing in that high altitude Denver dryness.  A close game without much defense.  Edge to CC.

CC 21 - LC 14

Hatchet,

CC, while still not a "good" team, is vastly improved over previous years.  The last couple of years they've started a boat load of frosh and sophs.  The qb and receiver corp have a good vibe, they don't give up.  My point is that people should take another look at CC before basing the present on the past.  They showed a lot of fight against Oxy.

Personally, I hope that you're mistaken about CMS as well, but haven't seen them yet so I can't comment.

*nods*  While CC is improved, I don't think they're in a comparative caliber to some of the more powerful teams around the SCIAC/NWC.  While I do hope that CC is improving, I can't give them more than a few points above LCC.

As far as the Stags go, I don't expect much out of them, even with their explosive offense. The Loggers run defense has been phenomenal thus far, and since the Stags show an impartiality to the run, it'll be a difficult day for them. Aside from that, the 201st ranking in rush defense is a bad sign when you're playing away with a run-based offense who's leading rusher (Lee) has yet to be officially turned loose.

I mentioned I was going to the Menlo-Willamette game. If there are any Bearcat lurkers headed down there, stop and say hello. I'll be on the sidelines with a camera and wearing a Linfield cap.  ;D

Interesting that Pastprime has not been around, he is a Stout supporter. The game this weekend in WI is going to be interesting. I would think that Whit. is the better team, but going on a long roadie can be tough. When the 'cats went to uwsp two years ago, it was the game where "it all came together", but it took over 3 quarters to get that way. I see maybe the same thing happening for whit. I wish them the best of luck.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Hey 11 what is the name of the Mexi joint that you and Mrs 11 took us where the owner took us in the kitchen for shots after we ate.  Now that was a fine dining experience.  i guess that treatment was only reserved for the regulars.  It was great.

After this week, I'm going to post my season preview, and really ruffle some feathers!

Hatchet...please don't make a fool of yourself and think that UPS is ready to step up to Linfield just yet.  Baby steps bro....baby steps.....

GHC,

Lago De Chapala is the place.

Ahhh it's sure nice to be home.......I will miss Crazy Ottos though.....

Story of the day:  I don't think this happens at the 'Catdome

BTW....I watched the Mac High football game last week and saw 3 personal fouls called on WOU.

coco,

Monmouth was dry up until a few years ago.

I believe  WOU was having trouble getting Football players so the administration pushed the leaders of Monmouth  to change the Law.
As you can see It worked!  ;)
Also they were having trouble with the Cadet program not being able to experience a DUI stop. The Cadet program has made great strides these last few years.  ;)

I have to say the someplace else tavern is a dive. Just to clarify, I was on a pool team a few years ago and had to be inside. Special!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

WC11,

Was that clip shot at McCulloch Stadium?

Tuxguy,

Is there a worse-looking joint in the county than the Someplace Else? Even the parking lot looks like you could pick up Hep C from it.
Two words:  THE STREAK

coco,
I wore gloves, and got tested the next day just to ease my mind.   ;)  I would have to be very thirsty and every other place in the county would have to be closed to get me back.
I'm sorry to say I can't give a food report, except that the chips (in a new bag) were fresh.   ;D

Bubs...I don't know if I would let it out that you know WC11 intimately...makes it sound like you've climbed through his window in the middle of the night a few times...He's lucky 99 was there to defend him!  ;)

DT,

I think you know a person pretty good when you're watching a pitcher of Amerbock come back up the other way and right back into the pitcher it came from.  :)

Tux,

I think in a money saving move the cadets in monmouth replaced their ticket books with yellow flags.
