Gig Harbor Cat

No problem DT,  See you then. I'm going down for a long weekend this week,  Golf on Friday (Beer West Classic) Cats game on Sat and we are staying over to see the big guy play on Monday night in the Alumni (the older I get the greater-faster I was) Game.  What could be better than that.

That sounds like a good weekend, GHC.

Does anyone on here know if there will be a roster for the alumni game? It would be helpful for some of us.

I've been trying to convince old Coco to play. He still has the speed and agility of a cat, and can leap like a gazelle. He reminds me a lot of Hazenberg. I never did understand why Coco was on the line.....

GHC,

I think you forgot..... "The older I get the greater-faster I was, dang It didn't HURT this much the next day"  Alumni game.   ;)

Now, having played in the pep-band on game days, the only thing that hurt the next day was my head.    8)  ( use your imagination )

Mrs. Coco, does coco know?   ;)  Leap like a gazelle?  :o  Please.......  I'm not doubting it!  .......                   Saturdays tailgate should be fun and interesting!    ;D ;D

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Since I live right smack in the middle of Lute country, I thought I would give you the pulse of the situation
I GOT NOTHIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not being a smarta$$ here but actually there is nothing in the Trib , haven't even been flipped off in Parkland when I fly my Wildcat flag on the truck.
Your guess is as good as mine.  My guess is that they will come together as the season progresses.  Its too good of a program not to.

I wish wish wish I could get to Peyton to see the UPS-PLU game. Last year's UPS turn-out was exceptional, and it being homecoming this year, the team 3-0, and playing a floundering Lute team, I would LOVE to see it.  Ugh.

*sighs*

Don't fret D-Train. PLU has a good chance to pick up wins later in the season, with the Bearcats, Menlo, and LC. They'll have to play hard though, harder than last week anyway.

Tuxguy,

I'll tell Coco you have faith in his leaping ability. On the field he was the personification of elegance and grace. I remember my mom saying once, "Look, 'Coco' sat on the other player....... and he got up!"

Cats/Bearcats Preview is up on the Linfield website.  Nice title:  "Wildcats Hungrier Than Ever".  Sounds like there will be a few changes to the lineup!

Hatchetman75-

I will be the dissenting opinion - I hope that PLU's chances to pick up a win are not as good as you and others may think - playing on grass for Menlo's homecoming -

Menlo is still a young team, but I think that they will have a good shot at staying with anybody in the NWC with the exceptions of Linfield and Whitworth - the rest of the games should be competitive. (depending on injuries, etc....)

Well, Scharer is tall. I like that in a qb.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Mrs COCO,
Look on Wildcat11's  Catdomealumni.com website, there is a link to the Alumni Game.  And I am sure they could make room for COCO Im sure he could go

Mrs. Coco,
GHC,
I believe WC11 has coco in the lineup for Monday!

Memories are wonderful!
I was just a young Boy when coco played.  (I had to throw that in.)...But to be on the teams that Beat the U. Hawaii , and  barely be defeated, by 2 points!

Some names that pop out to me are Virgil Riply, Randy Marshall, Jim Massey Rogers Ishizu, Joe robillard, Tim Brown & Ed Griffin. The list goes on and on and on, and please, I didn't list them all. I'm sorry if I didn't get someone in. Post the others!

During that same time line, I remember a Quote from the L&C coach about Linfield Qb. Mike Barrow, "That Barrow kid can throw it on a dime."  (rest in Peace Mike, you will never be forgotten!) Dang War!
Every one have a great night!
PEACE!

Tux,
A little karma for bringing up Mike Barrow's name...he was a good one!
As a frat brother, we had many great times together.  Last December, while in Washington DC, I stopped by the Vietnam Memorial and visited his name proudly engraved in the memorial.  Truly a loss but a great American,

Looking forward to seeing ya'll on Saturday!!!

Bob Sullivan is also being inducted into the HOF, along with Randy Marshall, and he was in the Coco wedding.

Tim Smith is another one who died too soon. He was a probation/parole officer who was killed by some bikers after he broke up a bar fight in Nevada. He played with the rest of those guys.

So Tuxguy, gullible me, I went right to that website to see if Mr. Coco was on the roster, but I didn't see him.  I saw Casey Allen (whose autograph I do have!!) and the newbie coach whose name I am too tired to remember tonight and a bunch of other players whose names I recognize but no Mr. Coco.  It just won't be the same.  Maybe he could be the one who tosses the coin.  Put it on the web.  As Gig Harbor says, Phone it in, that would be fun.
I do hope you all have great fun at the Homecoming and that the guys continue to improve and womp the Willamette team all the way out of the state.  Mrs. Coco will have something for you for your very own.
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Mrs. Coco,

I don't know this Randy Marshall guy, nor have I seen him play.  If he was in the Coco wedding that's hall of fame credentials as far as I'm concerned.
