Lever Street.....I feel your pain but we woulda coulda shoulda!  :P  And that's the trueth! You have to realize we were the highest ranked 0-2 team in ther history of DIII football. So that's not bad!!! Just give us a rematch with HS and we'll prove to the world who stinks and who doesn't.

O.K.
Now I'm feeling better, bluenote is all fired up. I now know  It's going to be a great weekend.  The Cats have tasted victory and want more. I wouldn't want to be the team that plays the Cats this week!!  ;D
Or any week the rest of the season! GO WILDCATS! Chop a Log......er baby!

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Article on the Bean Brothers (Andrew of Linfield and Aaron of UPS) facing off this week:King County Journal

My Favorite quote of the story comes form Aaron:  ""This is more than me against my brother. They (Linfield) are more beatable than they have been in the past, and we have become a team that can beat a team like that. This is a very important game.""

....guess we'll find out soon enough

So for the record, what coach said is NOT BB material.  What Aaaron said probably is BB material.  Oh well, that's what makes college football great!

Gig Harbor Cat

So you want material.  OK

How do you get a Logger off of the front porch?

Pay em for the pizza !!!!!!!!!!!!

What is the main difference between a Logger and a dollar bill ?

You can still get 4 quarters from the dollar !!!!!!!!!!

And finally for you Cat fans driving to the game your Mapquest special.

How do you find the Loggers

Travel north until you smell them     then
South until you step in em

Phone it in, its in the bank boys   Cats in a rout

+k for the 4 quarters joke. That's a pretty good one given their fold last week.

Gig Harbor Cat

Pat,

Just a question............... did,... #33..... R......Keone Tawata from Linfield get nominated last week for player/team of the week?  Reason I bring it up is, If he was, what does it take to make the team?
Tawata's game  stats..........
15 tackles (9 unassisted) 2 Interceptions and 1 fumble recovery. I believe 1 INT was returned for a TD.
Inquiring minds want to know?   ???

GHC,

NICE!

He was nominated.

I look at the credentials of the players chosen (and I don't choose the team anymore, someone else in the organization does it) and I'm confident we picked good guys. I see two guys with three picks, another with two picks and a fumble return for a score. All very comparable. We have been getting great nominations every week this year because we've been able to publicize the team a little more.

I don't see how what the player said is BB material.  The cats ARE more beatable this year, just not by the loggers. :)

Linfield 38 UPS 21 (I give them an extra score for playing at home.)

There has been alot of talk on the board this fall about Whitworth being very good but they just keep squeaking by with their wins.  I think they are probably better than my Lutes but I'll take PLU at home 24-21.  To do that they will have to cut their turnovers though.

Menlo beats Lewis CLark easily.

Foss

Those two squeakers were 1) on the road against a team who was ranked just outside the top #25 and had a history of thumping non-conference opponents (Hardin-Simmons, for one) and 2) against the #21 ranked NAIA team who had never lost a game to a NWC opponent.

Those are the sort of games you just want to win, regardless of how ugly it might be. Whitworth did that, and I'm sure they'll take it. I believe the Pirates are the real deal Hollyfield this year, and think they will play the 'Cats in November to decide the NWC championship. I might be wrong, and the PLU magic may come out again tomorrow. We'll see.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

I was thinking...what would happen if Linfield won out (of course they would have to beat Whitworth) and Whitworth only looses to Linfield on the year...do you think maybe we'd get another 2 B pool teams to the dance from the NWC? And if both teams made into the playoffs... would we have to play Whitworth again in the 1st game? What would happen if they shipped Linfield to the East Bracket and played Rowan.  ;D
