blue, I don't know what the Rowan score would be, but in the first couple of rounds we would have to be content with only being credited with 99 points per game since the scoreboards back east only have two digits per side.  :)

I am quite certain both Linfield and Whitworth would be in the playoffs if that happened. Don't know if we'd play again in the first round or not. Keith says in Around the Nation that he thinks 2 of the 4 Pool B spots will go to Whitworth and Linfield. I'm assuming he means if both teams keep on a winnin'. He doesn't give details on whether this is if Linfield beats Whitworth or the other way around.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

I think Linfield would be eliminated if they lost again...to anybody...including Whitworth.

Should the Cats run the board, there should not doubt, at least in my mind, that we go into the playoffs - probably traveling because of a low seed.

Should the Cats lose to Whitworth, and the Rats remain undeated, and the Cats finish 6-3, I think the most probbable way we make the playoffs is by our tradition, much like being ranked in the top 20 with an 0-2 record. The NCAA committee knows about  us. Our strength of schedule - HSU and WOU - will help as well as Whitworth's strength of schedule - Stout and APU. Are there any teams in the West Region with 6-3 records with as much tradition as Linfield?

This is an interesting topic and well worth discussing, but as it's been said, let's play one game at a time. Our first playoff game is against the Brownies.

We win today if we protect our backside offensively, stay focused, play within ourselves and defensively - wrap'em up!

'Cats Fa Natic

damn flu bug...

Can only stay on long enough to say Cats over UPS by 14. Logger turnovers prove to be the difference.

PLU takes another one for the team, Pirates come out ahead by +20.

Can't remember who else plays today, but I'm sure L&C loses. Probably big.

{very hoarse throat:} Go Cats!
{Clever sign-off goes here.}

I'm headed out to my college alumni day (25 years) so will not be online with the rest of the cyber Cats. Go chew up some Loggers!!!!

A beautiful day for football! :) :) :)  Wish I was up in Tacoma where the longies are flowing freely, the Cats are on fire and the purple frisbees are flying.  I'll have to settle :'( for listening to the loggers getting chopped and felled by the Cats :) but I'm with ya'll in spirit.  Here's to bringing home win #2 in 06'  GO CATS!

Lever Street

Take it 1 game at a time Linfield.  Today is UPS.  Let's win this one and then look to next week.

Yeah, who killed Bob Crane? I say it was syndication.

Cats v UPS - I remember last year as UPS having "high school type" corners. Have the Brownies improved? Or are the Cats going to romp?

Go Cats, expose UPS!

MonroviaCat

Cats on the prowl--so far so good---even running the ball for positive yards :)
