Looked more closely at the APU-SOU game...My pick:  Cats 49 SOU 13.  Next post for other calls (yes I'm home from work sick today)

Hope it's not the same stuff I suffered with over the weekend. It's nasty. I lost seven pounds over the weekend--I swear six of it came out through my nose.

How's that for an over-your-coffee image.  :o

Good insight on SOU... not sure I agree with 49 to 13 but it'd be great if it happened.

Cats FanAtic.

Yeah, I don't remember how I came up with the 49-13 score but I think it was based on the Cats getting some turnovers and scoring off of them.  I also was feeling like I keep saying 42-14 (which was close last week) so I added a TD for the cats and took away a PAT for Southern (though their kicker is actually very good from what I reaad in the press guide).  Could be a big blow out if Cats have good turnover margin but will likely be a bit closer.....
Go Cats!

Possibility that D3Keith will make his way out to the Catdome in November (nothing for certain so let's not give him a hard time if it doesn't happen):

"National columnist Keith McMillan plans to be on-site at five important clashes over the next four Saturdays......With the schedule subject to change, No. 12 Whitworth at No. 18 Linfield is also a possibility for the final stop on the tour."

First, let's hammer the convicts who are making their way up north from the southern part of the state this Saturday.....
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Foss,

Good call.....One game at a time!

SOU, & WOU.... even in  off/bad/teams years , get up for the Cats. The Cats are getting better each week and will be ready! I think 44-17. That's with back-ups coming in early!!! ;D

That would be great to have Keith visit the CatDome and see  what "real" northwest  Football is all about! The Island of D3.
OAS was out a few years ago to experience the tradition that is Linfield Football.

Keith.......you can set with me, good seats! Mrs Tux walks the sidelines. The down side is they are  right behind bluenote!  ;D ;) ;)   Over the years we have gotten him to turn the jazz in his headphones down a little during the game. ::)

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Where did Hatchetman go?  I know his team has taken a turn in the wrong direction the last two weeks but it was nice to have his insight and non-catified views....oh well, maybe rivers will bring him back....oh wait........:)
Go Cats!

Foss...that's the first thing I thought of when I saw that article also  ::)

Hey everyone. It is my first post in quite a while.

I finally had the opportunity to watch my beloved Cats when they came up to my area this weekend, and maybe these items have already been discussed, but I have not been around.

Cats O-Line has a couple of undersized guys that look as though they don't know how to play undersized.  The good news is Coach Agapalsa was one the best undersized O-linemen in school history. He should get them playing better.

I know, I know, I know our tackling will get better.  We had UPS stuffed deep a couple of times and they broke some tackles for decent gains.

I do miss the days of (De)Capdeville, Purdy, or Lions roaming the secondary and giving opposing receivers aligator arms with their vicious hits.

New QB has got some skills!

Half time adjustments were awesome as always!

I look forward to the PLU game in two weeks, but I know the team is solely focussed on SOU.

GO CATS!!
GO CATS!!

Video: Linfield Record Breaker

In honor of Travis Masters and Drew Regan's kick returns for TD's, catdomealumni.com presents the video clip of Linfield's record for a kick return.  In 1995, Linfield cornerback Brian Piasky returned a kick 100 yards vs Eastern Oregon.

If you have have ideas for future record breaking moments please let me know.

Yeah, I don't remember how I came up with the 49-13 score ....

Just curious, but how DO you (or anyone else here for that matter) come up with your pick 'em scores? Is there a consistent method? Go through common opponents results? Or does it involve tea leaves and darts boards? Or just a "feeling"?
