I can't speak for others but when I come up with my scores I look at the respective offenses, defenses and how the teams have scored againts common opponents and/or similar types of oponents.  Then I add points to the Cats because I'm totally biased!
Go Cats!

What MonroviaCat said. I pretty much do the same thing. Homefield does count for something. And then if I have actually seen the team it gives me some gut feeling. So here goes:

Linfield 48 - SOU 17 - SOU had a big offensive day against a bad APU team, but they still didn't score an offensive TD until their 4th game of the season. The Cats are just getting better and better. Plus with a family weekend crowd it will not be close.

UPS 35 - Willamette 21 - Surprisingly, WU is averaging 10 more yards per game through the air than on the ground, but it will not be enough as UPS will be hungry after two second half meltdowns.

Whitworth 49 - L&C 6 - Pioneers are improving, but not nearly enough for their trip to the Pine Bowl.

PLU 35 - Menlo 27 - There will be footballs flying all over the place from two teams that have way more yards per game through the air than on the ground and whose pass D's are not that strong. It will probably be like the WU-Menlo game where it seemed like the D's stayed home.

Nice Calls Cawcad but I do disagree with one statement.

As far as the passing D for Menlo goes, they've played pretty good vs. the pass with the exception of the Lewis and Clark Game.  They've held opponets to under 200 yds passing (and often under 150 yds passing) in every other game.  Now it could be that they have played weak passing teams but it will be interesting to see how PLU is able to move the ball with their primarily passing attack.  :)
Go Cats!

I predict that wu will upset ups.

Linfield 35
sou 19

wou will lose to whomever they play. Then, in a fit of rage, their offensive line will hold up a dairy queen.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Again, WC11, nice work on the videos.
Thanks.

Wildcat 11,

Haven't been here in awhile but I saw a couple of weeks ago that Elliott was released from SD. Just curious if he was picked up again or has someone else given him a shot.

He's the real deal and hope he catches on.

Anyway Hi to all in the West. I am still keeping track of the stuff going on some what (see above)

Watched the Whitworth-Stout game. Very entertaining ending. The Whitworth tight end is a load.

Stout had that game won but has suffered from "last two minute itus" and gave it away.

Tough start for you guys but it looks like you found your next QB since he is climbing up the stats board and the "W's" have followed.

Anyway good luck against Whitworth.

I'll hang up and listen for your reply!
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Thanks MonroviaCat. This is where the comment about having seen the teams and gut feeling come into play. I have seen the first four Menlo games. Despite yardages, it is visible to the observer that pass D is the weakness. Willamette came in and pased from the get go. McMurry, SOU were basically ground teams. I commented a few weeks ago to a person close to the Oaks team that the chink in their armor seemed to be pass D and got a nod of the head from him.

Great job as always on the videos WC11.

WC11,

An other great job!

I just got sick though,  after that clip I watched the film of "The Mishap/miracle in the mud" ! The feeling I had that day after the play just came back.   >:(   :'(

Was it ever determined that a whistle had blown? Was their audio that picked it up? Or That the ball sat Idle for x amount of seconds? I know we can't go back, just not sure I ever heard for sure...........I'm sure I heard a whistle from my seat!  :(

That was One  heck of a Wildcat  team!  I used to miss the mud on the uniforms and all over players,  then  I remember that game. >:(

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Tux...Looks like a Johnnie vs Linfield game in Collegeville is a real possibility.  Of course Whitworth could be heading east.  Those were impressive wins the Pirates had in the pre season.  Shouldn't Linfield and Whitworth win-out up to the 11/04 showdown?

Well, the win over Asuza is looking a little less impressive. But the question is: why are you trying to jinx playoff scenarios already? Didn't you go on and on about a SJU-Linfield rematch last year? And what good did that do?
