I have a feeling Menlo's coach, PLU's coach, LC's coach, Whittier's coach, Pamona's coach...while we're at it let's go to division one...Stanford's coach, Temple's coach, FIU's coach, FAU's coach, Colorado's coach...don't think they have the best team in their respective conferences.  Big difference between thinking you have the best team in the conference and thinking you are capable of beating everyone in your conference which IS what every coach likes to think (and even thinking that is stretching it for UPS).

No, I loved that 1986 team.   I just think the 2004 team had the best passing attack I have ever seen in Div. III and they did win the BIG one on the road.    But, it is sure debateable.

Re: the 1992 team, I thought if we had opened up our passing game in the 2nd Qtr, it would have been a much closer game.   Our defense wasn't bad; they just met one heck of a good option team, with a very tough. although arrogant, fullback.   No, that was a game I still think we could have won.

Don't take my points wrong.    You raised some valid comments.    Different takes on the same subject is always fun.    As long as people don't get rude or personal.

Since I am new to the board, forgive me for asking a dumb question but do all you Linfield fans support the other teams as much as you do football.  If so, that is awesome! If not, why not?  Just trying to start some non-bashing conversation...

Oh puhleeze...they might pick on those who can be threatened and pay a fine. Walk into any 'swap meet' in Pacoima, Paramount or Pomona and there are thousands of rip-offs of copyrights by people who do not have a business license, take cash only, and send it out of the USA. My personal favorite is the really, really, really poor Donald Duck piñata.

Dens, what reason(s) are you hoping for a UMHB win over UW-Whitewater? Are you pulling for the upset or do you think it will change something regarding the playoffs? I have mixed feelings on that game. By the way, I'm clueless and I can't stand it any longer - what does DOC stand for?

I think I want Whitewater to win...thanks to Stout's complete implosion this season, I think if Whitewater wins, and stout can give whitewater a game later this season it makes Stout's (most likely) losing record look a little better...making whitworth's road victory over the blue devils better than it does at this point.  This is a stretch but its the only way I can keep myself interested in this not so meaningful to Whitworth game.  All I care about right now is this Saturday when he Pirates D rips the wings right off of Willamettes "fly" offense, and Joel Clark gets back into the groove as he beats the bearkittie D with his arm and his legs.

OH NO, No GHC and Mojo at the TG this Saturday.  I will take what I need along and make sure big blue  gets taken care of.  I am sure I will hear some complaints about the quality because  nobody does it like GHC.

We certainly will miss you but this should mean that you will have 2 weeks of hostilities built up inside you for the Pirates game.  I hope they don't let you on the field.    What is Mr & Mrs WC11 going to do not having you for the evening.  Sounds boring to me.  Hurry back.  I didn't get your email about the 4 additional bottles of special tonic until after we got up there.  Do your frineds still need 4 more for the punch and do you want me to get some and bring it to you at the Rat killing.  Let me know.  You can email me at my normal address

Monrovia has it right, but I think it was Wildcat11 who had a good guess when he suggested Department of Corrections. I do believe our SoCal friend did play a doctor many years ago in a famous Hollywood film, however.  And no, it wasn't Dr. Zhivago.

We'll miss you, but you probably won't miss much of a game. It will probably be a mere warmup for the Rat killing.
