Foss,

No matter what happens, I'll still be on this board after Saturday.  If I have to take my lumps, no sweat.  Afterall, we have a winning basketball season to look forward to! ;)

Good to hear some of you Rat boys will be making the trip over!  It's going to be awesome at the dome on Saturday!  Nothing better than packed stands all the way around the field and people standing 20 deep everywhere else!  Should be a playoff type atmosphere and no time for Whitworth to get their first win at the Catdome in, let's see, ......the history of mankind!

Now if we can only get the home crowd to realize they should be quiet when we have the ball and loud when they have the ball!   ::)

Is K-Mack from the website going to be in the house or what?

Pinecone...I remember dressing 3 miles from the field in your fieldhouse.  That must be a pretty good home court advantage for hoops playing in space in the middle of that thing.

D O.C.

'CATS cannot miss those tackles. Got to get that helmet in front, wrap up and drive.

                                               DEFENSE!

Expect Joel to go to Michael early to test the waters and then every time a play is on the line. We know Joel will take off when cramped. Smack him every single time.

pineconefan,

I know you will, you've been a standup poster and a solid contributor for a long time now. I'll take the same lumps and give your boys all the credit if they pull it off.....

D48,

If you can figure out a way to do that than you deserve to have the freakin' field named after you. I've never quite understood that, it's not like there isn't a 50+ year tradition to help people understand when they should open their pieholes to disrupt the other team and when to shut the hell up when the 'Cats are on O.

The DOCtor speakin' the truth.....
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Foss it drives me bonkers!  You'd think there would be enough ex-players that know better and current players parents that have been coached up in the stands that it wouldn't be a problem.  My favorite is when everybody is standing full throat when we've got a crucial 4th and 1 to convert.  I see two things that consistently contribute to the problem...one...the cheerleaders, bless their hearts, have no clue and only encourage it and...two...whoever is running the new scoreboard is flashing LOUDER up there at the wrong time.

Both are easily fixable, somebody just needs to tell them.  The board guy could even make the brilliant move of flashing quiet on the board...I've seen it many times at the old Candlestick at 49er games when the wine and cheese crowd couldn't figure it out...

Looking forward to a great game and a great crowd Saturday.  Hopefully everybody will be loud on first down instead of just third and the cats get it done!!!

If the crew on here has anything to do with it, I know it'll be loud...they'll be good and fueled up from the parking lot!!   ;D :D

(509)Rat

Mybe the problem is all of you down in kittiecat land are too fueled up from the parking lot and don't even remember a football game was being played...well at least thats what I forsee the Linfield fans, players, and coaches doing at the local bar after the RAT killing goes terribly wrong and the Cats end up bobbing their own tails.  Watch out for those Purple frisbees...they can have a whole lot of velocity when coming from the hands of an angry GHC!

Had a friend of mine stop by my single wide while I was watching Springer aka  office( thats for 509WT).  He is the Scout for the Bills that came down to the Willamette game last year to see the Butcher. he lives here in the harbor. I have coffee with him about once a week, he is coming to the Catdome this weekend to see the game and Tailgate with us.  He informed me that his granddaughter is a frosh at Linfield and plays in the Pep Band.  Anyway I'll do the intro at the TG on Sat,  He has been a scout for many years and has some great stories.  He is looking forward to Pre game at the Catdome.

Here are my picks for this weeks NWC games. All look to be close contests but home teams will rule the roost.

Willamette 24 - Lewis & Clark 14: One win between the the two programs. Interestingly, their opponents have the best combined records of all the opponents records of NWC teams. L&C gets a lot of yards in the air, WU gives up a lot, but Bearcats at home.

Puget Sound 21 - Menlo 14: UPS big ground game versus a pretty good run D. The Oaks haven't scored much the last two games, but will break out some. The Loggers at home.

Linfield 28 - Whitworth 17: Two weeks ago after watching the Pirates against Menlo as a neutral football fan and photographer, I returned home and commented then that the Pirates looked beatable. I still thonk so, and this is the week they get beat. They did not look like what I had expected of a team this highly ranked. Whit has never won in the Catdome and it will not happen this week. The Cats hang onto the rock and hang an L on the Rats.

Pirate - Oaks photographs for those that might have missed them the first time around due to an error in the link.

The private jet (sponsored by SWA) leaves for the dome tomorrow morning.
Looking forward to seeing all of you, even our young rat fans who are just learning what a big game is all about.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

509WT , you have it all wrong, you crack me up my man.  We are not about Anger, we are all about being a part of the Catdome Nation,  you gotta be there to understand it.

new to the board but not to the website or nwc football.  just wanted to say hi.

D O.C.

Good one d$....you found a place that will give you negative karma after 3 posts, one of which was innocuous

Gig Harbor Cat

I think 509WT can not only try out but make my NFC team

d$

Not concerned about karma, just the W on Sat.  D will get after it and fly to the ball.

"Salty D?  .......Linfield allowed 21??? to PLU? ?"

Score was 44-7 with 6 minutes left in the game, sounds pretty good to me.   Backups gave up one score late and back-up qb threw pick to the house even later in the game.  Don't let the final score fool ya.  Also tell your fellow posters......Maybe just maybe the salty D had something to do those picks in last year's LINFIELD-whitworth game.
