DT48,

I'm with you on that whole pussification deal, where all the kids get a winning trophy and that whole philosophy.

Desertcat, are you so busy with the twins and Blondie that you don't have time to come up to the Catdome this season? We miss you, buddy. It's been too long.

Sorry, Swede. We're using all of our tickets.

Can you feel it yet?

Coco:; YES,  ;D They are keeping me going that's for sure , If things work out this weekend  AT the annual RAT KILLING I could see all you  cats in  So. Ca for the  Skinning of Tiger/Oxy  ..  " IF" .. :o  But first things first.. The Little RATs are going DOWN... They don't like SALT..." The  RATS are going to die and the cat fur will fly".." Phone it In "  GHC..

Go Cats

Anyone have a pair of tickets for the grandstand Saturday?

Hi Swede,  It looks like I will have 1 ticket and don't know about the seats 1-3.  Normally is room, but can't say for sure.  Give me a call about the 1 ticket.

Hey, Pine, I think Sabre was talking in general about "celebrations" on the field and not specifically to the Clark penalty. (as he clarified even as I was typing.  :))

And I tend to agree.

The story is told about a young running back at the University of Texas scoring and doing a bit of celebrating. When he came to the bench Coach Darrell Royal pulled him to the side and said, "Son, the next time you get into the end zone act like you have been there before."

I am old enough to remember that quote!!  Get'er done, Cats!!

coco,

Do you think that if the Cats win this weekend it will end whitworth's chances in the playoffs since it will be a loss to the only winning team they have played.  Win or lose it will up the QoWI for them.  But it will damage there record.

How would a 'Rat loss to the 'Cats up the 'Rats QOW?

Thanks Tux,
I personally think that my Karma is way to frickin high, considering all of my drive by action.

Let em bring it--I got more--The more they bring the more material I'll have to break out,  If needed I will call ole Desertcat for stuff--he has a ton !!!!

Well, I put it up to a 100 last night but it's too early yet today.  I sent the power good luck bracelets with the brownies because I could get them all in the same box for the same price.  Mrs. Coco is going to bring them to the tailgate.  Hope that's ok.  Make the longies good & strong, because it was a dry Saturday last week, :o :o  at least as far as longies went.  Have a blast at the RAT KILLING tailgate.  An NFL scout?  I'm impressed.  Wish I were going to be there.  Heck I wish I were going to be anywhere with a football game, instead of at a concert, but we all have our crosses to bear.  Mine is named Tracy this weekend, my dear sis-in-law who decided to ruin a perfuectly good football weekend with a concert.
I read where somebody was calling for 70% rain.  No sweat!  The Cats are taller than the rats.  We can just watch them drown.  :D :D  Make our job so much easier.  Go OLiners, give Scharer the time to bomb the rats into submission where we can then just run over them and make them ROADKILL!!  LONG DISTANCE (from VA.) phone it in!  Cats win!! :) ;) :D ;D

Olinemom - Too Late to be up but I am one to talk.  I was having problems sleeping.  I tried counting sheep but the only thing I could see was Cats chasing Rats back into their hole.  I knew I must be dreaming cause it was the darndest cat I ever have seen.  Purple and Red with a white helmet on and the rats were chasing flying frisbees.  So here I am at the ole board once again waiting for it to rain dead rats on Saturday.

I can tell it is time that some of us Cats inform Sis-in-law what you do and don't do on a Saturday during the fall.  I am really looking forward to the brownies.  Nothing better than Olinemom's brownies and GHCs hi-octane longies.

desertcat1, I believe we will be in luck to celebrate on the bronco. Always better to celebrate another big game with friends than out in a public that hasn't a clue.

I could swear I wrote an answer to you and posted it.  But it's not there.  Oh well,  if you still can't sleep, go to the South region, to the USA conference board and check out D3Newbie's 10 rules for dating my daughter.  It 's really LMAO funny!!  There is also a terrible announcement of a major school fire in North Carolina.  All students and teachers safe but the school is kaput!! It hits home to me as I used to teach in that area.  But High Point didn't have football.  What can you do?  You have to find a place with football!

Topcat,

I like your new handle "Shiek"---seems kind of appropriate to me!

Wish I could be their this weekend to enjoy the Tailgate and the Rat killing.  I really screwed up because I could have scheduled a trip to the Tax Assessors office (since taxes are due on the 15th) and made the trip to the Catdome legit.

I'll be tuned in and listening to the Catdome "rock" on Saturday and of course listening to all the D1 scores from the D&D show!

And for some picks this week:
Ups 28
Menlo 31

The game won't be close, and if Menlo pulls off an upset at UPS' senior day, the final home game of the season, I'll start pulling out my hair and drooling on myself.

UPS - 35
Menlo - 10

Other picks:

LC - 10
Will - 21

Cats - 42
Whit - 28

MonroviaCat

I agree with the H-man.  UPS is playing more solid than Menlo and should prevail.  I'm actually excited to see what the loggers can do to the demoralized Rats next week after the Cats crush their hopes for their first win at the Cat dome.  Also, why do people seem to think the Willamette L&C game will be relatively low scoring (H-man gives it a 21-10, Cawcdad gives it a 24-14) when neither of these teams can play a lick of defense?  Sure, I know their Offenses have not put up a lot of points in most games but both have shown the ability to move the ball and against these D's I would think more pts get scored.  Could be a fun one.

A couple more days till the Rat-Killing!  Maybe you guys should skewer some rats and throw them on the BBQ for the pre-game! :) :)  :)

GO CATS!  One Win at a time!
Go Cats!

d-train

Menlo is physical enough to give the Loggers a decent game, they have some size on the D-line. Also, even if the Rats lose in Mac, they'll have playoff hopes that will be enough to get them up for UPS next week.
