The NWC will have an autobid in, I think, 2008.  It has something to do with Menlo's "provisional status" or something.  As I understand it, as long as the conference maintains at least 7 teams the autobid should start in '08.

Fairly odd....'Cats Fa Natic posts a most wonderful autumn Dome Day (Windows users right click-view) image of the johns and TDT shows up on the site.

hope the cats are much more inspired to play the 'rats. they were just playing around with the oaks and that will not be good enough for a win this week.

it was good to be back in the cat dome. the smell was medicinal, although i would have liked to see the mud fly during the game. i guess the cats are moving along w/ the rest of the world.

some notes on last weekend:

i brought the sun with me from the islands. so you can say thanks for the great weather. this weekend you are on your own.

the '86 team was on hand and the guys looked like they could suit up one more time. only we would not do the purple/purple thing.

i think linfield may be the only school that gets fans flying in from mongolia to take in a game. i thought i flew in a long way, but that takes the cake.

attending the hof dinner were the osu oc and a usc ad. crazy considering the events of the day in corvallis.

also represented were the nfl teams; chargers and the seahawks. that would make for a wildcat superbowl, that i may actually watch.

anyway, it was a goodtime in Mac. It was good to see the boys of '86 and some of the diii faithful.

LND and CoCo- Your post got me thinking about the Cats uniforms.  What is the best look for the Wildcats?

....Personally I like the new White on White but I am biased, theres just something about the old style uniforms that remind me of hockey jerseys.

How about the purple on white (with purple sleeve trim!?) on the road and the white on white at the DOME?

PLEASE....NEVER purple and black or any skid marks on the knees and shoulders!

If I'm not mistaken, the schools original colors (or at least colors at one time in the far past) were Salmon and Green (apparently to reflect the Northwest's resources of salmon fishing and trees).  Can we all agree that its a good thing those colors have long since been changed!

Well, considering they DIDN'T take the team photo until the week after the PLU game, I think they put up the 2006 team photo as quickly as they could.  For being a one-man show our SID department is very excellent.  Phone that in.

Purple top, white bottoms. Definitely.

Did not like the purple-on-purple look. Looks like the multiple uniform combos inspired by the Ducks/Nike are starting to have an impact even on DIII school.

At least they didn't have the tire-tread shoulders, thankfully, that the Ducks have. Bleah. Everytime I see that, it just makes me cringe. And I actually like the Ducks.

If only the Ducks put as much time and effort into their GAME PLAY as they do their uniform selections, they'd be #2 in the nation right now...
