I'm gonna be the lone NWC prick in the group.  I hope Whitworth gets smoked this weekend.  I can't root for those guys!  Do you think anybody from Ann Arbor is going to be rooting for Ohio State to win the national championship just because they're from the Big 10...save it.  They HATE those guys.  The NWC doesn't need to earn anymore "street cred" around the nation, they've put a beatdown on the "Beast of the Least" twice and beaten Trinity, UMHB, St. John's, UWLAX, Wartburg...the NWC is fine.  Here's to a monkey stomp in Spokompton on Saturday!   

By the way...bring your walking shoes Johnnies, the locker room is about a mile from the field.  Take the short cut down the stairs right past the RAT locker room though, they love that!

OK, so I was just trying to blow the last 45 minutes of the work day...  But I've heard enough ridiculousness about people "trying to stop the Johnnie running game" and stuff like that.  Just wanted to set the record straight.

I'm a little slow in my congrats here, but way to go Whitworth!  I had to work all weekend so now I'll have to go back and read all about the game.

TDT:  Outlook not so good.  It may be sacreligious, but I have a hard time justifying $330 for travel to a D3 game.  If I were still in school I'm sure I'd be hitting the road sometime on Thursday and driving out.  I'm sure I'll catch up with everyone in Wisconsin on the 2nd.

Gig Harbor is 304 miles away from Spokane (and that would be driving in crappy weather).  Just because Spokane has a YMCA for you to stay at doesn't mean GHC wants bring the blue jug out to the Pine Bowl to watch a team that is backed by the classless a-hole club take on a team who's players save $15 a month by skipping on haircuts.

Looks like some motivation for the Pirates with D3.com already picking them to to be defeated by St. Johns.

By the way Pirate fans, the Johnnie come lately boys can dish it out, but they can also take it too. Have fun this week!    

for those of you who keep up with the local High School sports and the McMinnville Grizzlies, the Boys Soccer team won the State title Saturday night against the all mighty,  10 time, and defending state Champion the University of Jesuit out of Portland.
The game ended tied 1-1. went to 2 over times and ended 1-1. It went to a PK shoot out after 5 shoots, was 4-5 each. Mac won 8-7. The McMinnville keeper had to do 2 redo's after stopping both shots  and  being called for coming off the line early. He than made a stop once more and the Mac boy made his for the Title.
Congratulations. 

Congrats to the Grizzlies.  Boy they really played well.  2 overtimes and then PK and all kinds of shenanigans!! Well done, especially against a team who's been champions for so long.  Way to bring the State Title home to McMinnville!!  Way to go, little Tux coach!!

Bethel is an easy target.  MR just makes it impossible to resist.  He and other Bethel fans should retreat for the offseason and prepare to return to their rightful place in mediocrity.  (AW, I know you're lurking and reading this!)

Hardly rediculousness man, the trend I noted is real---when the Johnnies win big they pile up running stats (whether its through shovel passes, fumble-rooskies, or whatver).  Morover, and this is a tip for you Johnnies who think that information revealed here is giving the other team the edge, the Rats are most susceptible to a good running attack.  Thus, if the Rats stop the JOhnnies on the ground they have a better shot.  That was my point (I'm pretty sure I mentioned that the Johnnies prefer to pass):  Rats need to control the ground game if they hope to have a chance at winning this week.........they also need to score more points than the Johnnies LOL
