509 is clearly a bitter and sad person with very real feelings of inadequacy as demonstrated by his  continued need to spew vitriol against those he does not know.  "Gracious winner" and "good sport" are terms with which he appears to be unfamiliar.

But I won't let a single "floater" turn my back on the Pacific Coast (although I admit that counting an institution in Spokane as part of the Pacific coast is a bit of a stretch).  I can, however, see why so many members of 'Cat nation are Johnnies fans this weekend.  If 509 actually represents the tone of the 'Rat community, well . . . it's not a good thing is it?

Go 'Rats . . . and if the Johnnies prevail, then I'm on their bandwagon for as long it can go.  West, baby, west.

I'm still supporting Whitworth against the Johns, as I don't have any animosity towards the Rats. Now if it were Willamette playing, that would be a tough decision.

Travel safely, everyone.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and may you all have  safe travels..  We all have so many things to be thankful for.   ( the twins Big smile )  :-* ;D

I love D3 Football!!!

Tux,

That used to be on the back of the programs, didn't it? An awesome quote.

Desertcat, I heard it was the twins who are the MOST thankful.

Good plan!  Bag spelling, but exclude long, incoherent, rambling, troll posts like yours!  Now I nead to ad wun moor sintince becuz speling wont mater.

Of course, 509 didn't register until nearly October (right after that stunning OT victory over WIAC bottom dweller Stout).

Gotta love the newbie bandwagon boys ...

What's the field like in the Pine Bowl?....when the Johnnies played at the CatDome they were out there with a microscope looking for soft spots and water, demanding we put some more powder down here and there. They somehow forgot we were both playing on the same field and had possibly forgot what real grass looked like.  ::)

Hey repete, at least I spit out factual info...go check your post in the SCIAC board.  I sure as hell would rather have a newbie who could give some valuable info as opposed to someone with a whopping 300 posts like yourself who doesn't even read a post correctly.

Hey Tooth, Maybe this is why your beloved Tigers can't get past the first round of the playoffs?

Actually, the few that have just can't believe that they lost a football game to Whitworth.  Has nothing to do with my posts but their undying loyaltie to a program who made a great run while they still had NFL talent.

Yeah there's an idea...how about nobody respond to things said about them and their team, then this board would be overflowing with posts.  Trolling, nice.  Coming from the guy who came to the NWC board without anything valuable to say as of yet.

You know what they say...the great thing about high school girls is that I keep getting older and they stay the same age.

Blue, we knew you had a speed based game and were just looking out for your Cats.   ;)

Its been called he nicest grass playing surface in the west coast by a Pac-10 official who worked one of the games early in the season a few years back.  It's gonna be a little wet, hope that doesn't bother the of the winningest programs in college football.  That must be one of the "No's" that they win with..."No playing on wet natural grass .I mean heck we are St. John's and shouldn't have to step foot upon a sub par playing surface."

It should be in better condition than Linfield's old grass field was late in the season.

If Whitworth plays like they did last week SJU wins by several touchdowns.  But if the offense plays like they did on those first two drives against Occidental then this one will be close and Whitworth will win.

So let me get this right:  If the Pirates play like they did last week, then they lose.  Unless, of course, they play like they did last week.

How to respond...?   I can't.  The argument is flawless.

I was reading in the MIAC board and the St. John's fans are morons, maybe I'll just make fun of them!

When are you going to start doing this?  Maybe we're too moronic to notice where the fun is.  (talking over my shoulder) Uh, cousin, Huckleberrry, you gots any o' dem laughin' beans?  I needs to eat one as I can't see nutin' funny in 509's stuff.

What other posts about St John's are there to respond to?

BTW - How do the high school girls you know stay the same age (as I could understand if they were staying in the same grade each year...)?  Are they dead?  Man, that's sick.

Well, first of all, we got to the 3rd round in 2004 for those that are counting . . . but aside from that little misstatement . . . thank you Rat . . .

Mein Gott, an epiphany!!  That's it!!  All I have to do is act churlish and bitter toward all opponents, gloat when we win, sulk when when we lose, and the Tigers will be off to the Stagg Bowl!

I'd write more but I have to get on the phone to coach Widolff now and explain the secret to success in 2007 . . . fan petulance!

I think I'll go buy a Lombardi biography to help inform my coaching of 7 year old soccer players . . .

cheers,

If Whitworth's offense turns the ball over 4 times then they wont win.  If they are as efficient (two td's in about 6 plays) as they were in those first two series against Occidental then they will win.

Appearently the rampid inbreeding thats been going on near collegeville has had an affect on several of the MIAC posters as well.  And you've never seen dazed and confused?  I guess hanging out with monks for 4 years has dulled your sense of humor.

Hey Rat- I got a better one than that for you. SJU scored 4 TD's on 4 consecutive plays Oct. 21 vs. arch rivals Hamline University.

Do you like apples?

How about them apples ;D
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!
