TuxGuy had a nice little home warming party over the weekend I wasn't able to attend but I'm sure it went great! Tux......I'm getting the drums set up...are you ready to jam??? I hope so! Bring back those old pep band days.... ;D

Yes, I am aware there has been significant change in your life since D3 inception. Loyalty to bygone institutions can be very powerful though, eh?
At the very least the name piques the brain.

Yes bluenote, It went well.

As I've been told................
"Only Tuxguy would have a party on New Years day, and not New Years eve"  ;D
Why not, Football all day, and ping pong during half time. Now that's Living!  8)

I must agree,  the Boise State game was one of the best in recent memory.

Anyone notice that Charlie Weis(sp) tried a few trick plays that back fired. The Irish have not won a bowl game since 1994?

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Hmmm, interesting.

Pat, you say that "Participation in the combine is by invitation only. Division III players have not been on the invitation list in recent years." And then... "Gustavus Adolphus wide receiver Ryan Hoag was the last Division III player selected in the NFL draft, taken with the last overall pick in 2003."

So I gather 2003 was also the last year a DIII player was even invited to the combine? (And if so was Hoag the last player invited?)
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Pat...thanks for the headline on Michael Allan/Whitworth. I think he should take the tape of his performance against Linfield to show people too. I think Clark completed 2 passes that game vs. Linfield.... and he was a second team AA QB and Allen 1st team? Wow...we must have a pretty good defense.  ???

Ryan Hoag was not invited to the combine. I am not aware of any Division III player invited to the combine since D3football.com started.

There a reason you're so snarky?

WELL...I think our defense was pretty good since Whitworth only got like 85 yards that game! BTW....I'll take "snarky" as a complement, since it rhythms with Snorkey, one of my buddies from high school.   :-*

Way to go big Mike!  Get after it against those guys.  Focus on what you can do and things will go fine!

I'd like to join in on congratulating Michael Allen on his invitation to the NFL combine - fantastic!  I wish him all the best there.

Pat...actually I had kind of a "method beyond my madness"...I was thinking that if some of the pro scouts see the Michael Allan video against Linfield, then some of the scouts would recommend drafting some of the Wildcats instead or in addition!

Pat Coleman

Hmm, nope, too late to spin it that diection. Should've come out with that take in the first place. :)
