Bitter Kitty Fans,

When are you going to come to the realization that is was not the "miracle in the mud" but rather the choke of the year in D3 football. You guys hold onto the ball you win, so don't spin it like it's our fault you lost. Also, why not give Allan (a D3 player) some props here guys. Just because the all holy Brett Elliott didn't get invited don't hold it against Allan.

I suspect that at this juncture it's primarily Allan's height, weight and speed (6' 6 1/4", 252, 4.78/40) which causes the pro scouts to be sufficiently curious about him to invite him to Indianapolis, not anything which happened in the Linfield/ Whitworth game.

Bucs06...the "Miracle in the Mud" has nothing to do with this years Whitworth/Linfield game. You may not have noticed, but there was no mud on the field.  :P

and....We give Allen a lot of props around here. Casey was/is a great player! We wish you the best Casey!

Bucs06 - there are a couple of reasons you learn not to rise to every provocation on this board.  First one, you avoid looking silly.  The "Miracle in the Mud" reference is several years old and has nothing to do with this year's Whitworth-Linfield game.  Second, if you ignore the sour grapes, they are stuck with the one who brought em.

Just a friendly FWIW from a fellow Pirate fan.

PS - we could always provide the film of 05 when he ran away from the Cat DBs for a 60+ yard TD early, then ran over four or five guys to get into the endzone later in the game  ;).

If you're looking to gets some "props" for Allan you're certainly picked a wierd way to go about it.

I don't blame Linfield fans for be bitter for losing to a team the Cats are better than.  That's all on us.

Good luck to Allan and may he have much success.

Pineconefan,

I'd rather watch this VIDEO where in the first clip one of our running backs run over the pre-season all-american and daddy's boy for a touchdown.  That's much more fun!  ;)

Props to the biggest Rat of them all...that would be the TE Mr. Allan.  This is not only great for Whitworth but for the NWC and all of Division III.  Along with Elliot, and Allen, Whitworth's Allan has shown that the NWC has had some of the top talent in all of Division III in the last few years.  So again, congrats to Allan and the Whitworth program.  Wasn't it GHC that not too many posts ago rambled on about his "buddy" that was an NFL "scout" for the "Bills" and had never heard anything about this "Allan guy" so that must mean he wasn't a real NFL prospect?  I don't know maybe I'm remembering wrong...but i don't think I am.

found it!

QuoteEnough already enough, about all of this NFL prospect crap.  I talked to a buddy of mine that is a regional scout for the Bills.  he is based out of Gig Harbor.  Interesting, he attended the Linfield --  Rat game.  The week before I asked him if he was looking at the so called prospect TE from the Rats.  He said that his name does not appear on any of his hit lists(note that the lists are pretty consistant between all of the scouting community, they come from a bought and paid for service that all NFL systems rely on)  Anyway he was at the game because his granddaughter is a Frosh at Linfield and plays in the pep band.  Anyway after seeing your NFL prospect play, well lets just say(dont hold your breath on draft day bubba)

I'm just going to bask in this post's stupidity.

hey 509,
Talked to the Bills guy after the D3 article came out.  He was very surprised.  What you just dont get is what I posted was one scouts opinion.  Obvious there must have been other scouts that believe that no matter where you are from you can't coach big.  So he made someones list, things change, get a grip on yourself my man  Get a grip.

OSU, no contest.
