(509)Rat,

I think most of the posters here feel the same way as you. It's big for a D3 guy just to be invited, let alone make a big play. I wish him best of luck.

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

I was just thinking today....over the last 5 years or so Linfield has established itself as probably what some may consider the premier team of DIII on the west coast. I was wondering...with that type of prestige, is it possible for Linfield to acquire a running back who some may consider "a cut above" to nudge us over the hump? Just curious....

D O.C.

Heck yes. If that pep band is back then so should a premier running back with the initials T  E  A  M  tatooed on his dominant hand.

I'm still smarting that Riley Jenkins opted out in 2005!  My fantasy football is how the UWW game would have been different had he not.  8)

blue and DOC,

Why wouldn't a stud want to be in the backfield at Linfield?
Even when we had the record-breaker Mr. Elliott  putting up 61 Td's over the airwaves, the MVP of the Stagg bowl in '04 was Jenkins, a running back.
So if a kid thinks the Cats are air-Wildcat, they should still suit up in Purple.

As far as Riley not playing in '05, I'm sure he had a good reason, he knew what/who was coming back. I'm sure it was hard for him to make the choice.

Thank you Mr. smite, feel better now! :'( :'( .........weak  ::)

criswyly...sorry to have missed you my fine feathered friend. I was in my assigned seat gazing in amazement at the field.  :D  Oblivious to most other things around me....hopefully we'll meet up next time!

FYI, in case you haven't already seen or heard this bit of news:

There was an article in Friday's Portland Tribune about Brett Elliott playing in NFL Europe this season. It said he will be part of a Feb. 23 draft to determine where he plays. The article said he'd signed an affiliated contract with the SD Chargers.

Elliott said he is approaching it like a business and his main priority will be to get PT so there will be game videotape to show the Chargers and other teams.

Good luck, Brett!

Thanks for the update coco,

Sounds good for Brett. Have some fun playing Football, and see Europe at the same time. I wish him all the luck.

Any one know if you can pick up the games on T.V?  Like the NFL network or special espn?

bluenote, did you get the skins set up yet?

Tuxguy, NFL Europe does get on television some. I remember watching bits and parts of games, just don't remember which network. Good luck to Brett.

Thanks Coco!

I'll have the VCR fired up and Catdomealumni.com will be sure to bring the masses any clips of Brett playing in NFLE.

Pat Coleman

NFL Network, with perhaps the title game on Fox?

NFL Europe games are televised on the NFL Network. I believe last year that either one or two of the games per week were televised. I watched quite often last year, because of Montana grad Craig Ochs playing QB over in Germany, leading his team to the championship.

Thanks for the help Pat and pennstlbu, I'll check it out!

Wildcat up-date,

News from the sports page in the News Register..........

Casey Allen and Brandon Hazenberg "CATCH ON IN BOISE" Reads the head lines. The 2 former receivers nab Football 2 posts. Both have joined/signed contracts with the Boise Burn of the Arenafootball2 League.

You can read about them on the newsregister.com site. Sounds great for both and the love of Football was the big factor in signing and continuing to play. I just hope Haz. comes back to coach with the Cats. Best of luck to all these guys taking the next step.
Good read in the paper for those who want more!!!

GHC....they play in Everett on 6/9. is the boat open?  ;)

Once a Wildcat always a Wildcat, We will be Watching and cheering you on!

Is Thomas Ford and I think George Carter still playing with the team from Tacoma or Tri-Cities?
