ADvantage Catdome Interview Special!!!

Catdomealumni.com's blog "ADvantage Catdome" posted up our second installment of the "Red and Purple Interview".

We talked to 2004 Linfield defensive end Kelley Bertrand and his up and down season.  Kelley was poised for a huge year until he tore his right ACL in the first game of the season but he came back later in the year and helped Linfield deliver the 2004 National Title with a Stagg Bowl clinching sack.  Any Linfield fan will love this interview.

WC11,

Thanks for that great interview. He'll go down in Linfield history. I think we all remember how we felt when he came back and what an awesome feeling it was. Just to see him on the field again inspired the whole Catdome.

Just saw on the NFL Europe website where Brett is listed No. 1 on the depth chart ahead of Cody Pickett.
Should be fun to watch him battle it out against Regis graduate Travis Lulay on the NFL Network.

Thanks for the info. I'll check the site out. On a sour note the Burn are getting Burned by the Wheelers but then again Quad city is crushing people.
Yep, our man is #1 and nice seeing he'll be wearing #5

Big game by Casey last night. Nine catches for 120 yards and three touchdowns. Haze had 2.5 tackles, one fumble recovery and two passes broken up.
Hopefully Boise finds Everett a little more to their liking though in their home opener next week.

Who to root for? A player I played against in college in Bret Elliott, or a guy who played for my hometown college's rival in Travis Lulay? Interesting...

Not a good night for Elliott, Pickett and the Fire but Lulay was outstanding.

From the Rhein- Fire webpage:

Compared to previous D-III players, this is an outstanding performance.

Pat,
Thanks! I feel much better now.  :)

From everything I've been reading Elliot played well in his first game (even if the Linfield faithful aren't used to a sub 300 yd performance yet).  Congrats to BE and Linfield football.

I'd give Brett about a B- or C+ for the game. He made some nice passes, including several that were called back by penalty or his stats would have been better, but missed a few that he would say he should have completed.

Still, for his first significant game action since December, 2005, it wasn't all that bad and he showed he has the arm for the mid to long range slant pattern, something the Chargers no doubt loved to see.

Recorded the game on DVD. If anybody wants to see it drop me a line and I'll burn a copy of it.
