My inside contact says that a QB from Southern Methodist University is transfering to Linfield....and two stud running backs are on the way...Any confirmation on that?
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

The 80's were good years in the Northwest.  Every year from 1980-1987 (except '81) it was either PLU or Linfield for the NAIA title.  Then another run in the early 90's.  Imagine the tension/playoff consequences of the regular season game.  Oh, the good old days.

Big Congrats to the Lady Cats, the rest of us in the NWC are very proud.  Especially since most of their games weren't even very close.

As for the blazers...Don't be surprised when they pass up both Oden and Durant to take a sure fire player like Noah...Sam Bowie anyone?

This guy is from Washington.  The two games he started were in mid season.  Maybe he is the one.

Looks like he has two years of eligibility left and plays baseball.

He must not have liked his experience at the Willamette University football camps in 2002 and 2003 either.  ;)

That is not the kid....his name is escaping me right now and I'm not sure if he was even on the SMU roster during 2006.  However, he was on Linfield's campus this past spring and will have all 4 years of eligibility starting next season.  IMO, Scharer has a clear cut backup in Soph. Aaron Boehme but it's nice to have young talent at the QB position.

The 'Cats could/should have great quarterbacking for at least the next three seasons. (Scharer this season with Boehme being the man through 08-09)

That is good news for SMU.  They need all the help they can get.

Tuxguy,

I am happy to join my friend and former Linfield classmate, Wildcat 64 in congratulating you for having sired another proud Linfield graduate. We wish him the best for a very successful future.  You have rich Linfield tradition in your family, something to be very proud of.

The Spring 2007 issue of Pacific University Magazine (mailings to all alumni, etc) has an article entitled "University Considers Return of Football."  Any rumors out there if they are going forward in 2008 with a team and still plan to play in the Hillsboro stadium?
