You are incredible man!  Your latest offering is truly amazing...something I had never seen before...Perhaps you could visit the Portland TV station sports archives and see what else you can dig up...Wouldn't it be great to see what kind of sports report you could dig up from the Northwestern of Iowa TV station market?  We might even have to start a travel fund for you.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Is it possible to get the a telelvised copy of the Northwestern game?  I've got a copy the B&W game footage without sound...But did one of the local TV stations televise the game?  If so i'D LOVE TO GET a copy :o

WC11,

I believe the sign in the back ground is from my families  Building, A long History of Wildcat slogans. I remember the "Ad-Vantage"  Well.

Most recent  was a Congratulations to the Lady Wildcat's Softball Team and a National Championship.

And coming down today was a congratulations on my Son's Graduation and all the other Linfield Grads.

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Linfield Video of the week: 1986's Road To A Championship

***Next Week: Top Ten Honorable Mention 2004 Stevens Point***

Special thanks to Linfield Beancounter for the great footage of the 86 and 82 championships.  Linfield Video Gold!
Cool video. I love the old school offense, especially the waggle pass play/pattern. It's always good for big yardage.

wildcat11

Really appreciate the thanks but Linfield Beancounter was the fellow who pulled those tapes out of his collection for me me to use.  We're still trying to track down the broadcast from the '84 game but I'm sure it will turn up.

Right now, my plan is to roll out game recaps of the 80's championship for a release in late July/early August.

If any 'Cats out there have old TV broadcasts or clips please drop me a line.  I'm always mining for those classic Linfield gems.  catdomealumni@yahoo.com

Wildcat11....I'm pretty sure I have the '84 TV Tape. But we just moved so I need to dig it up. Hopefully I can find the video that Foss loaned me too....(sorry about that Foss)

bluenote,

Heck, were just happy you found the old D3 site once again!  ;)

What is it, 8 weeks until the first practice?

Just checked out the Lindy's DIII preview that was out. Whitworth was the only NWC team ranked at #22. UPS' Isaac Blum was preseason 1st Team AA All-purpose. Willamette's Brandon Bennett was a preseason 2nd Team OL and Whitworth's Jay Tully was a preseason 2nd team DB.

What Lindy's has to say about Division III football doesn't really concern me.

Thanks Beancounter for providing the tapes for Wildcat11!
Bluenote, please dig hard....BTW I have Canopus Storm video capture capabilities if anyone needs some help.

If Lindy's doesn't place much credence in the Cats this year guess we'll just have to win ONE GAME AT A TIME and see where the Cats are at the end of the season!
LEAVE NO DOUBT

I am sure the Cat's will prove Lindy's wrong this season.
I know for sure that my boys from Oxy will do the same as well.

Yeah. One game at a time and then do the Lindy.  8)

Linfield alum Thomas Ford caught 2 TD's and ran for 1 last night for the Alaska Wild Intense Football League team.  Unfortunately we lost again.  Still no wins for Alaska but T. Ford appears to be our most productive receiver.  He also filled in at DB and did a fine job.  The rest of the DB's didn't do so well.
