WC64,

I will do some checking on the camp.

This weekend is the Class A 8 man all-star game at the Catdome. Saturday at 2pm.
Any one who needs a Football fix can get a little taste on  Sat.

bluenote,
Bring over the tapes, I've got 2 VCR's, who knows what we might find!!! ;) ;)   ;D
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Blue,

No worries...Another local Wildcat dropped me a line and is sending over a copy of the '84 game.  Right now, I have the 82 and 86 games clipped together and they've turned out great.  I think the Catdome family will really enjoy these clips.

Shoot, I was hoping to inspire a run on mid-80s television programming. :)

I agree, Pat.

11, would it kill you to post the final eposide of M.A.S.H. on your alumni site? Maybe a little of the early (i.e., Shelley Long) Cheers? You know, a little tribute to the glory years of the PLU-Linfield rivalry.

I am so excited for the season that I just pee'd in my pants- but only a little bit.

Yeah, I got a bit distracted yesterday and dribbled a little pee down the inside of my slacks at the urinal. >:( Had to rush back to my office and hide out all embarrased for the next hour or so. That sucked.

Oh my gosh! Bluenotes trombone swolled the 84 game :o
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

criswyly

Hogan's Heroes was on CBS from '65-'71, not quite the mid 80's but a classic nevertheless.  I have always been partial to Black Sheep Squadron on NBC from '76-'78 (wanted to be a pilot).  I think the 70"s were a much better decade for tv programs than the 80's - Kojak, Odd Couple, M*A*S*H and Happy Days (ok, sure they continued in the 80's, but the early days were better), Barney Miller, Cannon etc.

Pat....I don't think it's that on the tape.

Bobo,
I've been thinking real heavily about getting Barney Miller.  What's the best season in your opinion?

O.K. bluenote,

As I remember, I'm the one one who sat next to you in Stage Band and I never got hit in the head with her mute!!  ;) ;) ;D

As for the the Track meet, I won my race, and ran the final leg of  the winning 4x440 relay team. By the way, Coach asked me keep it on.  ;D

Those were the days!!!!!!

Hey, guys, I've been gone for a month. Have I missed much? I saw in one of the News-Registers that we've still got Josh Armstrong coming to Linfield.  Good news there.

WC 64, Coach Smith is doing the camps. The first one starts on Sunday, after the 8 man camp, like Tux said.

criswyly, funny you asked - I only have the first season on DVD.  I don't think the other seasons have ever been released.  I rely on my old VHS for my Barney fix (they're in pretty bad shape, though).  My favorites were not of one complete season, but the 14 episodes that featured the late Jack Soo as smart-aleck Det. Nick Yemana ('75-'78).  To this day, because of him, I do not drink coffee.  ;)

ADvantage Catdome Interview Special!!!

Catdomealumni.com's blog "ADvantage Catdome" posted up our 4th installment of the "Red and Purple Interview".

Former SOU standout running back Dusty McGrorty was nice enought to talk with me about his time at SOU.  We discussed SOU's great playoff run of 2001 and 2002, the classic SOU/Linfield battles of 2002 and 2003, and his time with the St. Louis Rams.

Dusty was the more feared runner in the Pac NW and in the NAIA and any Linfield fan was happy when he finished up at SOU in 2003.  A good read for any small college football fan.
